Oscar did pick his opponents when the deck was stacked heavily in his favour:

Chavez - old coming off losses to Randall

Hernandez - made the fight at 135 where Hernandez had never fought

Gonzalez - fights him at 140 instead of 135

Whitaker - looked past it against Hurtado, Whitaker still shold have got the win

Quartey - recovering from Malaria and in order for Quartey to get the fight he had to turn down other fights meaning he'd only fought once in 18months, Ike deserved the win

Trinidad - Tito was very tight at 147, Oscar should of won

Mosley - natural LW

Castillejo - old average belt holder

Vargas - Vargas looked shot

Mosley 2 - Mosley is coming off 2 losses

Sturm - average belt holder

Hopkins - Hopkins is old at 39 and is made to come in at 157 draining him

Mayweather - Mayweather is made to jump to 154 and is outweighed by about 18lbs on the night

PAcquaio - a light middleweight picking on a super featherweight, seen as a joke fight

You make it sound like Hopkins was the one disadvantaged by the catchweight, not Oscar! shows how completly unobjective you are, and Vargas shot in 2002? Come on, be real - the man had lost one fight, to Tito Trindad. atsch Lets be honest, you can find "excuses" to "discredit" any fighters record, it doesn't make your opinion any more credible. What relevance does Oscar beating Gonzalez at 140 have? why include it? Gonzalez officially weighed in well over 140 in his 3 prior fights, he was an unbeaten no 1 contender. Fighting Oscar at 140 somehow invalidates the win...laughable. Hernandez was an unbeaten world title holder, had weighed in at 132 not long before he fought Oscar, you think those 3 IBs make the kind of difference that is really worth mentioning, or have any relevance whatsoever?

 

Difference being you have to "find" excuses with Oscar's resume, when you only have to look at Floyd's.
