We'll never know the result of this fight until they meet in the ring. But records show Pac has better showing that Floyd against common opponents:

Pac TKOd dela Hoya in 9th round
Floyd won by split decision against dela Hoya

Pac KO'd Hatton in the 2nd round
Floyd TKO'd Hatton in the 10th round. :deal

But let's see how Floyd will fare against Marquez before we make any comment on how he will fare against Pac.

Let Pac and is savor his victory before you start bashing him again.

and shoulder roll defense isn't gonna work agaisnt speed and volume too. pbf has to take risk and counterpunch like marquez if he wants tro win, that is stay in front of manny's coming punch and within a blink move back his head or step back just a little and come back with a combination counter. i'm afraid pbf isn't gonna be as impressive as marquez with that style

yea, it does sound stupid because you have no evidence to prove your point. i have evidence to prove my point. like i said, i can come up with a great plan on how manny would beat floyd but in the end it would be my opinion and that would be worth about as much as yours is, which is not much in the face of the facts.
manny is doing everything better than floyd.
manny is hitting harder (the ko and stoppage are indicative)
mannys defence is better (neither of his last two oponents were even in the fight. oh, did you notice that beautiful counter left hook while slipping the punch)
manny is looking faster (not just upstairs like floyd but downstairs also)
    manny has a higher workrate
manny is countering better (this one should really hurt since this is floyds forte)
and lastly, manny has proven his heart (this could come into play in a hard fought battle)
if you think this is the same pac who fought 3 years ago then you are watching these fights through floyd colored glasses

I guess you missed when Corley caught him clean and wobbled him, dismissing Sharmba hitting him tells me all I need to know about your analyzing fights. You miss the point. My point is if they could hit him what makes you think Manny won't? Pacquiao won't even try to get into a thinking match with Mayweather, the smart thing about that is that Floyd won't have too much time to think or rest during rounds either. And knowing Roach, he's gonna come up with the best gameplan possible, and knowing Pac he's gonna be able to execute it.

I don't really care who scored what for Hatton, it's what I scored for Hatton. I'm not saying Manny will win, but I am saying that it is pretty supid to say that anyone will outclass Pacquiao.

Considering that this fight will fought in a catchweight similar to Marquez, Pac has bigger chance. I won't be surprised if Mayweather will come out the underdog of this fight given the spectacular Hatton demolition and Floyd's lackluster performance against Oscar.

How exactly are Floyd's counterpunches made for 'slow opponents only'?

The common opponents mean nothing. Nothing.

Floyd always figures out his opponents and Manny will be no different.

lol, so its the other fights that mean something. the ones where floyd looked better because the opposition was weaker. now i am following your logic. i have to admit, i have no responce to such an airtight case.

According to the Ring Magazine blog on their site, Mayweathers team are stating that the fight will be at 147 and not 144 as the Marquez camp claim.

Of course Floyd doesn't want to have to loose TOOO much of that alcohol weight from drinking at the Spearmint Rhino or beating up kids on Fight Night 3 on PSN...

Already talking **** I see, I was rooting for Hatton, but after tonight Manny made me a believer. I would have thought that after Margarito/Mosley, DLH/Pac, Hatton/Pac, you fools would learn to not count fighters out.

Manny is a great great fighter but I think Mayweather wins on points. PBF will make pacman miss and just counter punch him all night.

However nobody can say Pacman cannot win. That is crazy talk.
