prime oscar vs. prime pbf at 147. tough call really.

dlh beat tito's ass in my opinion and took on a host of other great fighters.

mosley 2x. (how mosley won the second fight is beyond me.
    quartey.

both have great left hooks, it will be a toss-up for me now that i got to think about it.

It's an attempt by Floyd to play down Pacman's win over DLH. But yeah let's leave Pac out of it as he's being overexposed.

This is bollocks and Floyd knows it.

Get to fighting Pacquiao already, even non- boxing fans want to see it happen NOW.

The Hoya that Pac fought was not weight-drained!

Two months before the fight, he was already near 147, meaning that at fight night he did not have to squeeze so much water in order to make weight.

In Medical Physiology, HOya lost muscle mass. Hoya who had been waking around at 160-170 suddenly with two months to go is near 147 only tells us that he did the weight loss incorrectly. He sacrificed muscle mass. In training, some fighters who wants to become speedier tend to sacrifice muscle bulk. A prime example is Mosley. When he became this very muscular fighter and supposedly stronger fighter(probably to deal with the higher weight class), he can not even deal with Forrest who is a slow fighter. Then when he changed trainer to Richardson, he regained some of his speed.

The only advantage Hoya had at that fight was strength being the bigger guy supposedly but he did not have that in the fight when he lost muscle mass. Even in his prime, he was nowhere the speed of Pac. Probably in terms of handspeed, he is almost at par but he is exactly not a very mobile fighter.

At 147, PBF would win 100% against HOya. But KO is remote because PBF does not engage anymore. The Hatton KO was actually Hatton KOing himself by leaping to a check hook and then letting the turnbuckle KO him(sorry that is how it is - to me).

PBF used to engage his opponents when he was at 130. But at some point he realized that he could actually win without putting himself in danger and then he became boring.

How many PBF fights in recent times did he boldly predicted that he would KO or engage his opponent and never happened? I am not saying that he wont KO dela hoya because he has the facilities to do so. But talk is cheap and in the end, the safest bet is that it would just be a comfortable coast and decision for PBF?

The safest bet would be a UD but look at what Floyd did to Gatti. If DLH stood in front of DLH like he did Pac..

    Come on.

Floyd can't make DLH end up on his back, and you know damn well that is true.

If you realize how their training camp went, Hoya apparently wants to increase his speed thereby they sacrificed some strength or muscle in their training. Probably they were thinking that even with a loss of mcuscle mass, they would still be the stronger fighter.

It makes sense, however, they never realized that a past prime Hoya does not have the speed to even bother Pac no matter how they want to make him faster. Had he been weight-drained, he would have been KOed (the punch resistance of a weight-drained fighter is absolutely nil, nada, nothing, kaput). Watch the Pac being KOed in thailand and you would get the idea of what is a weight drained fighter. Pac could not barely punch and a single body shot KOed him.

Even Beristein stated that Oscar was not weight-drained.

Nah, if floyd fought DLH that night instead of Pac, FLoyd will win but he wont knock him out...Floyd is too cautious and too ***** to engage...
