Another typical idiotic response from a ******* - I just said I'm not a fan of Mayweather and don't watch his fights unless they are on tv. Nor am I gonna go back and watch footage of them just to please you.
I swear some of you ppl are like MMA fans, only care about the KO. Its call the "Sweet Science" for a reason. Appreciate a good boxing lesson when you see one.
Please after round four, any return fire coming from marquez after round 4 would have been like a bb gun to a freight train, there was nothing on any of his punches that floyd had to worry about.. Marquez threw a 100 punches then floyd and only landed 12 % .. yeah floyd really had something to worry about if he opened up on marquez. atsch
I agree with you 100% which is why we have the thread topic why didnt he stop Marquez? Why did he even take one step back? I mean serioulsy if he was P4P that fight should have been finished when he dropped Marquez. And again what happend to the old "best beleive if I drop you ima finish you"?
on the other hand Marquez battled pac to a stale mate, floyd toyed with Marquez .. Pac beat a drained oscar, who quit on his stool because he had nothing left from the **** training he did try to make weight. He KOed a broken hatton who does not know how to keep his hand up and walked right into a looping left. This is also the same hatton who does not know how to control his weight after fights. this was destine to happen to hatton sooner or later , because of his out of the ring life style.
Marquez had no business in the ring with floyd, even floyd new that. this was just a fight for floyd show off some skill and not jeopardize and future big fights. with that being said, floyd know it would have been meaningless, and in bad taste to KO marquez. Why KO the guy when you can out class him.
atsch are you going full ****** here in thinking Floyd carried Marquez? grow the **** up seriously~ your supposed to know boxing as you have a liscense with USA Boxing, then again wasnt it Northern California who basicly got the entire state suspended because coaches up there were exploiting kids as young as 8 years old?:think
hmm says . . . not hating on PBF but that was a skillful performance "boxing-wise". Boxing as a sweet-science. I'm thinking people want to see PBF "fighting".... ie... go for the kill and not be too overly-cautious. Many ppl want to see him work and challenged. Honestly, I wasn't too excited at the match, but hey I watched it for free. He said he'll finish anyone if he knocks you down (he guaranteed that) but he didn't and I don't take seriously to PBF's comments like "I'm going to whoop his ass." When someone says "I'm gonna whoop his ass", "beat", or "kill" I'm thinking to myself serious ass whooping, a KO, or in-ring face disfiguring but I didn't/don't see it. He won on rounds/points. Either that or JMM was just tough....
No kid I am just talking ****, However you saying Floyd carried him is a ****ing FLoyd wet dream for Floyd fan if there was any.. you guys just really take him too far
That's a very arrogant comment, but then again you do tend to be rather arrogant more often than not. I know what his style is, and I know what works for him, but his dumbass goes on NATIONAL TV and cries his pretty soul out to the world WONDERING why no one respects him or appreciate him. It's simple, he has a big ass mouth but NEVER backs it up in the ring. Yes, he wins, but Pretty ass Floyd goes on the record, promising to KO so and so, promising a fight, and goes back to his defensive style. I'll tell you, he fights like that because it's the safest way, he's so obssesed with his 0 that against even a light weight he was unwilling to open up. I've been following boxing for a long time now, and I seen what Floyd could do against LIGHTWEIGHTS. I saw him destroy many fighters including two of my favorite in Manfredy and Corrales. BUT then something interesting happened, that interesting thing was Jose Luis Castillo. It was an extremely close call and HBO was protecting Floyd. For the rematch Floyd fought defensively, UNWILLING to fight like he did against his past foes like Corrales, unwilling to take a chance, unwilling to give the fans what he knew they wanted and what he had given them in the past. Floyd Joy kept his defensive style, and even after he promised to KO his opponents, once in the ring, he preferred to keep his defensive style, and even after crying like a little kid throwing a tauntram on TV he promised to KO his opponents, but as soon as he feels a bit of leather ITS LIKE HE GETS CASTILLO FLASHBACKS and goes into his defensive style. Wether you think Floyd won or lost vs Castillo, you have to admit that after that fight, Floyd changed to completely defensive. So DON"T tell me that, that's how Floyd know how to fight, because he hasn't always fought like that, and even if he's on the higher weights, last Saturday was against a LW, and before that against a Jr. WW, and before that against a past prime DLH. FLOYD IS SCARED TO LOSE HIS 0 and that's why he takes very little chances to please the masses. No, those guys DID NOT fight like that. They used some defensive strategy, but what made them ATG was there offense. Leonard, Robisnson, Pacquiao, Jones (most of his career) and Ali all used footwork and speed, but they went for the KO, they went to fight a fight, even Whitaker for most of his career fought and countered in the pocket. What do you think, that I never watched them fight??? They are NOTHING like Floyd, because Floyd is mostly defense. EXACTLY!!! Mayweather foughta damned LW last Saturday and was still overly cautious. His style was not the way it is now before the Castillo fight. Pre Castillo Mosley would have gone in there to KO Marquez and tries untill it happened. But now Mayweather cries about respect, yet he shows no respect himself and he fights defensively. He would have gotten much more props and respect from the mainstream had he fought JMM like he fought Castillo the first time, Hernandez, hell even Jesus Chavez. Oh and size does matter most of the time. Yeah DLH was aso like 100 ring years, weight drained, and extremely slow. Of course size didn't matter there. Well Ironically, size did matter, because had DLH not attempted to shrink in size, the fight ight of gone a different route. Mayweather was a great fighter pre Castillo. Since Castillo, his best two wins are against two smaller men, one a Jr. WW who's claim to fame is a win vs a past prime Tszyu, and a B level fighter at best, and against a Featherweight, who moved up to LW and them almost immediately moved up to WW to fight Mayweather who had gone as high as Jr. MW. The rest of the guys in his record after Castillo are past prime, c level, or B level at best. Yeah  accomplishments. Another irony is that Floyds greatest accomplishments are when he didn't fight so defensively. When I say scared, I literary mean he's scared of losing his 0, not necessarily his opponent, but an argument can be made of that too. One of the greatest fighter of this generation. In fairness he is oen of the most skilled, but too bad he never fought the best. I'm from L.A., there's more boxing gyms in just E.L.A. than you have in your Lebanon and middle east all together. The thing that floyd told me and the rest of the boxing world while crying like a baby was that he felt unappreaciated. Well, if you get a chance to talk to floyd, tell that cry baby big mouth to put his money where his mouth is and to stop crying for respect when he promises to fight one way but ends up fighting like he does post Castillo.
No prob .. Sorry I honestly think he carried him ,, marqez was there to be taken .. he was out manned, out gunned,, I did also take in consideration marquez skill, your not going to just KO a fighter of his caliber, but in this case the weight really had him swimming in deep water, and he was there to be drowned.
