No I dont think he carried him, I think he tried to get him out of there but Marquez is tuff, and Floyd does have a saftey first attitude when it comes to fights, his own style is more the reason why he couldnt Kayo Marquez.

A lot of people who are saying it was a masterful safety first performance are the same ones who cry ovey klitschko doing the same and still koing his opponents... double standards :deal

Why the hell did'nt he do it then?

Why did'nt Mayweather fire away in combination as he did vs Gatti???

.....look at the knockdown in round 2.......after Marquez got up.....Mayweather loaded up and had a hard time connecting Marquez with a clean shot........the man also knows how to manuever away from danger and not let Mayweather just tee off....

According to you Mayweather did'nt have to worry about anything Marquez could do.......but there is Marquez in the final round looking like if the fight was scheduled for 15 rounds, it would have been a walk in the park to reach!

Please stop you turdlike nonsense......a brutal KO of Marquez would have put Mayweather in position to manhandle the Pacquiao negotiators at the bargaining table.
Had Mayweather knocked out Marquez, Mayweather dictates everything at the bargaining table!
.......that did'nt happen and now in dealing with Arum, Mayweather is going to look like a little ***** if he walks away from a Pacquiao fight no matter what the terms set by Arum.

A KO by Mayweather of Marquez, Mayweather dictates everything and he knows it........it did'nt happen because Marquez had something to say on the matter.

Suddenly Floyd is a compassionate boxer! You Floyd fans are taking it too far. Floyd himself said that he tried to KO Marquez but he can't.

First of all, Marquez has a hell of a chin. Second, just because a fighter is bigger does not mean he should knock him out. Holyfield was a small heavyweight and how many times was he knocked out in his prime. Mike Tyson was not a big heavyweight but he beat bigger fighters all the time. How come Larry Holmes did not knock out Michael Spinks? Certain fighters are boxers and some are KO artists. How come Ali could not knock out Joe Frazier but George Foreman did and we know what happened to George when he fought Ali. Hearns knocked out Duran who went the distance with Hagler but Hagler beat the **** out of Hearns. Boxing has so many intangibles.
