After watching the ODLH v PBF the other night , I ahve to question their partialiaty..eventhough ODLH fought bravely, and performed far better than I expected...I didn;t see him winning the fight since his pressure was inneffective and PBF was beating his to the punch...but the fact that he was able to back up PBF to the ropes and he did punch high output, eventhough they were inneffective, and the fact that he was ODLH, it probably gain him 1 to 2 rounds, which was enough to make the fight closer than what it really was....

If it would have been anyone else with the same attack and work rate as ODLH on that fight the margin of Victory would have been on the range of 117-111 or so.....

I scored it 9-3 for Floyd. He was landing pretty much all of the clean punches. DLH resorted to trying to steal round. Someone posted that there were no clear rounds for either fighter. I disagree. DLH definately won the 7th. There's no way in hell anyone should not have scored the 10th and 11th rounds for Floyd.

What I am saying is that I ahd the fight 117-111 PBF , but the fact that it was ODLH, and he fought bravelly, the judges probably give him the benefit of the doubt in 1 or two rounds, making it far closer than what it really was...if it would have been any other fighter, 117-111 would ahve been the score....that's what I am saying

I thought the fight was pretty close through 9-10 rounds then Floyd pulled away towards the end.

No shame in this loss for Hoya.Semi retired and out of his prime he did pretty good for himself with what Mayweather gave him too work with.

You guys are missing the point of this thread:patsch

Waht I am saying is that clearly ODLH got help forom the judges to make the fight closer than it really was....they put far more weight scoring the rounds for ODLH on aggressiveness that "effective aggressivenes"

I think some were just scoring DLH thrown punches and aggression, though they were clearly not effective. I think they were impartial though.

Mayweather clearly won the fight using the criteria set out by Lederman every fight. I had him winning 116-112.

I know the point of the thread, but if it was any other fighter I still would have had it 7-5.... the whole fight was close until the last few rounds were mayweather pull away for the decision... thats just my opinion....

Disagreed..but if you agree then you have to agree that id 35 year old ODSLH was able to put that kind of pressure against PBF, Cotto would also...and far more effective...

27 years old legs of Cotto the streght of Cotto and speed of Cotto as better than the 35 year old version of ODLH that fought PBF...

the key is "effective aggression" ..not just aggression..

This isn't necessarily true. PBF wouldn't agree to fight in a smaller ring like he did against DLH. And Hoya is much larger than Cotto meaning he only had to get in the area of Mayweather to cause Mayweather to move to create space.

Oscar didn't deserve a 115-113 nod, but I can see a 115-113 nod for Floyd. I thought Floyd won 116-112 because of the reasons you stated.

I have an EXTREMELY hard time seeing how Oscar could have won, although he was a game opponent and competitive.
