you're right that what he did against marquez was great but it was still an old fat lightweight. i would say what whitaker did against chavez, total domination, was more impressive given the relative status of chavez and their comparable weights. sweet pea embarassing a great like nelson is also a better defensive performance than anything mayweather has exhibited against top competition.

I love mayweather's skills and I don't want to discredit him because you simply can't once you view him. it's almost splitting hairs at this level but whitaker didn't just have a shoulder roll...he had more movement, upper body movement, parrying, feinting and offense as defense than floyd. floyd does what he does as well as anyone in history. sweet pea just had a whole lot more in his arsenal

So you've watched Floyd's career since the start... So has everyone else. The difference is that the people you're talking to followed other fighters, greater fighters, from the starts of their careers. Add to that all the study and analysis of fights and fighters from the past.

It's pretty near-sighted to name Floyd, who found a way not to fight the best and most dangerous fights, the greatest defensive fighter of all time, not to mention insulting to the fighters who were just as effective, but against better opposition.

And don't get me wrong; Floyd has unbelievable talent, but his isn't the general forum- other fighters exist besides Pac, Floyd, Vitali, and Lewis...

Not a single colour photograph of Greb exists. Floyd obviously kills him.

Greb was a menace to bigger men but I think he had trouble with a couple of smaller ones. Can't write off Floyd's chances here.

Floyd has a long, long way to go to get near Harry Greb on performance or resume

Since Greb never had 2 dehydrate as much as Floyd had , d size difference would have been smaller than Floyd vs Marquez 4 example .
Greb himself started his career well below d welterweight limit with no need 4 dehydration , it's not like he's going 2b a giant next 2 little floyd , only slightly bigger if at all .

And like some1 here already put it , Floyd would not have taken such a fight , hypothetically again if he does , he gets stopped despite Greb's severe lack of punching power , Floyd would have succumbed under d pressure of slaps , got cut , swollen , etc .

What great middleweight has Floyd even fought let alone defeated ?

It would appear that a lightning quick, concrete chinned, exceptionally well conditioned animal like Greb would have one of the two perfect styles to defeat PBF ... people forget what a decent Hatton gave PBF for the first six rounds or so till fatigue and his chin gave out .. the ref and the ring size are very important as always but you have to favor Greb to rough him up ..
