It was a close fight that could've won either way. Like Cotto-Mosley.

    :rofl :rofl :rofl

Especially when that fight was being planned since 2005. It's ridiculous how you pathethic haters criticize a fight between two undefeated P4Pers and Lineal Champions of adjacent weight clases, a fight that was considered very important a priori and even some people said it was "the fight of this generation".

LMFAO @ whoever said Hatton could beat Pacman.... that's too funny.

I didn't see any boxing skills from Hatton in the biggest fight of his life. All he did was wrestle....there's no way he'd beat Pacman.

I never said something similar, but yes I am an idiot. Thanks.

Every real boxing fan knew Hatton didn't stand a chance. Don't know about that. PBF was the favorite, Hatton was not a huge underdog. Can't remember the odds but Hatton was given a lot of chances.

Hatton doesn't stand a chance against Pacman. This is boxing not the UFC with all that grappling. Did Hatton even throw a combo in the Mayweather fight? All I can remember is Hatton bullrushing and grappling. At least De La Hoya threw punches. Hatton didn't even throw meaningful punches.

Pacman comes to fight... he'd embarrass Hatton.

I can't stand it when all of those idiots say "No disrespect to Mayweather but Rickay is a 140 lb fighter."

Well if Ricky is really a 140 lb fighter, why did he weigh MORE than Mayweather on fight night? Ricky ALWAYS weighs in around 150 lbs, and when he fought Mayweather he weighed the same. If anything Ricky should be STRONGER at 147 because he doesn't have to cut as much weight!

I saw almost no clean punches land for Hatton, so how some people had it close before the stoppage beats me. Does anyone know the punchstats for this fight?

I was rooting for Hatton (as nothing would please me more than to see that little ***** lose). He looked solid and in good condition. He did not make ANY EXCUSES so why are you lot coughing out this 140lbs crap? I saw a master display from Floyd, his patience, timing, defensive skill was impressive. He completely shut down Ricky. And how about that left hook?! At 140lbs it would have been the same story. Floyd is just too good. Plain and simple.
I dislike Floyd, however when he is in the ring the man is a legend!

I don't know how or why those people had that fight close. If any Hatton probably only won one round on my card, if that. I was getting tired of all the grappling he was doing. I actually thought it was going to be a really good fight because Hatton was trashtalking as well.... mocking Mayweather's pad work. He looked like a fool going head first into the aprin.

Yeah I remember him taking the **** out of PBF's padwork. I watched all the 24/7 and Hatton along with the British Press had me fooled, tough guy Hatton will rough up this show pony Mayweather. How wrong can you be sometimes?

I still found it a very entertaining fight even though I agree with your observation that Hatton had no quality in his work.

Fact: Ricky Hatton Just About Gets More Attention On These Boards Then Any Other Boxer.
