Quartey was nothing special - he was just well known.

pbf would win but quartey was underrated, he had a great jab and a great defense, i have always wanted to see quartey vs trinidad though.

    Interesting fight

Quartey was less versatile and varied in his attack than Floyd and somewhat one-dimensional (whereas Floyd has a proven ability to adjust and change tactics). To his credit, Quartey he had a rocket left jab, awesome physical strength, and a high-guard defense like many African fighters that wasn't too easy to penetrate. If Floyd tried jumping in with potshots, Quartey could offset him with the jab, prevent him from mounting a consistent offensive attack, and keep him at a distance. I think Floyd could win this by mixing it up and getting into a comfortable range where he could utilize his greater skill-set and not be at a disadvantage from the outside. This would require some toughness and willingness to get hit though. But if he could get in closer to Quartey, it's a good possibility that he could land the cleaner shots.

I'll say Quartey by close decision by offsetting Floyd with his jab and winning a couple more rounds
