What if PBF fought Sweet Pea, or Meldric Taylor in their prime?

again..... he easily beats both of them. These guys were good but they wouldn't be able to handle PBF's skills

Anywhere below welter JCC wins. Hard fought points win. Mayweather doesn't throw enough punches to keep Chavez at bay. No way he could like on the ropes like he did against Hatton and win.

despite the fact that PBF is a fantastic fighter he just doesn't throw enough punches to defeat someone as awesome as JCC in his prime

I think PBF could beat JCC and possibly Taylor, but I don't know about Whitaker. They would all be great fights though.

I agree, but I think it would be a SD between Sweet Pea and Mayweather.

Meldrick Taylor was able to dominate a prime chavez and he made the ridiculous mistake of brawling with Chavez, witch PBF would not do nearly as much. If Meldrick Taylor could get within 2 seconds while getting hit a lot, i think PBF could do it. This is just common sense. I also think that PBF would beat Sweet Pea because he gets hit even less that Pea did and when I think about how many times Buddy McGirt was able to hit Pea (even with a hurt shoulder in there first fight) I realize that PBF was FAR better defensively. I also think his punches are cleaner than Whitaker's. Meldrick Taylor would cause Floyd the most trouble becasue of his combination of Stength and Athleticism. He was a very appealing fighter to watch and could have won a UD if Floyd fought too defensively.

Floyd UD All Three of them.

Also, I have never been THAT impressed by Whitaker and I am wondering what fights I should watch to change that...thoughts?

The only way hes stopping him is if he cuts him. Other then that, UD Floyd.

As for Meldrick Taylor. I think Floyd would win 115-113

    Sweet Pea. IDK.

mayweather beat over the hill Hoya and a blown up welter in hatton and hes compared to Pea and JCC. Be serious!! When he beats a prime welter that is good then ill give him his dues. Watch the chavez rosario fight. In his prime chavez kept coming and coming, i know mayweather would quit when it got tough . Chavez ko 9
Dont forget when chavez fought pea that was already on a decline and above his effective weight
