PBF VS JMM @ 130 lbs

unsure.If pushed I'd say pbf.

 

Mayweather UD or maybe MD. This fight would be a lot closer than people think. JMM is significantly better than anyone PBF fought at 130 IMO, including Corrales.

 

I don't think he's significantly better than Corrales. However, it really doesn't matter. Floyd is significantly better than anyone Marquez has fought. Styles make fights. There are 3 main attributes that you can utilize in this sport; speed,power, and technical abilities. Marquez is out gunned in all 3 departments. He's smaller than Floyd, has some defensive problems, and also seems to have problems dealing with good handspeed. Floyd is basically a bigger, stronger, faster, more dynamic version of Marquez. I think Floyd would beat him decisively.

 

I am a huge Chico fan and I think JMM beats both.

Mayweather beats JMM 9-3.

Top line... You`re being very generous to Marquez, I cant see him lasting the distance & I do rate JMM highly... just not THAT highly.

Next line... In a p4p sense, Id agree, JMM is better than all FMJs comp at 130 BUT those guys were quite a bit bigger than JMM too & this isnt dominos, size is hugely important in boxing & Id also fancy Corrales to stop Marquez.

Dont let his fight with Casa fool you that he could hang with these guys, we all know that Casamayor is more shot than Tony Montana.

Casamayor was not shot to pieces like Roy Jones has been for years. He stopped Katsidis who is a top 10 quality fighter at 135, no doubt about that in my mind. Casamayor will prove this if he fights again, he simply ran into the world p4p#2 and looked bad because he was beaten convincingly, but this was by an elite-level fighter remember.

No way in hell does Corrales stop Marquez at 130. If Pacquiao couldn't there's no way Chico does, he wasn't in their league IMO. JMM can handle 135, so he would not be beaten purely by size at 130.

JMM is better than anyone PBF fought at 130. He would have given Floyd a test. He would not have won, but he would have given him a fight.

I might take Chico by stoppage over Pacquiao, and I think a fight with Marquez is basically 50/50. Normally he gets overrated due to his death but I think you're underrating him. It sounds to me like you're considering him a second tier, Gatti level fighter. I don't think that's the case at all. He was a great puncher with very good inside skills. His out-boxing skills in general are also underrated because of what Floyd did to him, but he actually was quite effective from the outside, good jab, even outboxed Casamayor, whom I'd take over Marquez or Pacquiao prime for prime.

 

Corrales was a top level fighter, he wasnt just big, as said above, he knew how to fight very effectively from range aswell as inside.

If Im not mistaken, the FMJ/Corrales fight was a 50/50 fight more or less as far as predictions & betting beforehand, both were unbeaten & it took what many feel even to this day was FMJs best performance to do what he did to Diego.

Id fancy the TRIO of Floyd, Corrales & Casamayor to emerge victorious vs JMM or Pacquiao... the size DOES matter..... just because JMM & Pac have fought & won at LWT & Casa & Corrales started at 130 doesnt mean that size wouldnt play a part & they arent still naturally bigger... Corrales was killing himself at 130, even in the FMJ fight (tho he would lose that one 100/100 IMO anyway) & both he & Casa could easily fight at LWT without bulking up at all.

Corrales even has a victory over a decent Castillo (tho not the best version just so we are clear) & Castillo would cruise thru Pac or JMM aswell, just too big & even tho not a talented asJMM skillwise, they have more than enough to hang in there to make the size count.

P4P - FMJ > Pac/JMM > Castillo/Corrales/Casamayor
H2H - FMJ > Castillo/Corrales/Casamayor > Pac/JMM

BTW JCC beat's the **** out of pbf just ask his uncle(Roger) how great JCC was.


And at first i pick unsure cause like i said JMM is as good or better than those fighter's if he stop Casa who beat Chico 2 time's and JMM put him to sleep and at 135:deal
BTW Casa is way better and more skill than the fighter's pbf fought at 130.And yeah pbf beat's JMM.
