People are seriously making pbf out to be way too great. I actually think jmm is the better boxer of the two. Pbf does have the speed and power advantage but no way in hell is he a better boxer than jmm. Jmm is pure text book and.a text book fighter like jmm can always find a way to nullify speed and power kind of like jmm did to pac.

It would be a very tough fight for jmm but if he comes well prepared I see him beating pbf by ud. However he would definately be the underdog as usual. People keep saying its pressure that will beat pbf but that's what everyone tries and fails with him. Has anyone thought that maybe a guy that is a better boxer can outbox him? Jmm has a shot.

In retrospect JMM would have been the toughest fighter Floyd as ever faced

Actually i think JMM would have moved up beat JLC better than Floyd did

What do you mean JMM is the better boxer? He's textbook in the sense that he throws every single punch by the book. He's great at combinations and counter-punching, but those alone don't make him a better boxer than PBF. Especially since PBF does all those things as well and MORE.

Aside from being as good as JMM at throwing combinations and being a better counterpuncher(better timing and more accurate with his shots), PBF still has other advantages over JMM. Namely, lateral movement, better upper body movement, way better footwork, better at outside as well as inside fighting, better boxing brain and most of all he has WAY WAY better DEFENSE.

All these point to PBF being the better boxer. Then if you add other intangibles like speed, power, and chin all of which favor PBF, then seriously there's not much JMM could really do to win this match-up. He's at a serious styles disadvantage IMO.

You're out of your ****ing mind. You wonder why PBF is wining by such a large margin it's because anyone who knows boxing can see that PBF wins easily.

PBF is better than JMM in every department at 130 every single one. PBF is arguably the GOAT at 130 he would be too much for the much smaller JMM who have would have no answer for his speed, movement and counter-punching. Also what you fail to realize is you can't outbox PBF unless your name is Pea or Hearns.:deal

What do you mean can always find a way to nulify speed and power? PBF is light years ahead of Pac in terms of boxing ability. Pac had JMM all over the place with speed and power alone. PBF is a different animal. Against PBF he would not only have to deal with a speed and power disadvantage he would face someone who is bigger stronger also a defensive genuis with a high ring IQ with all world stamina and chin. JMM loses by wide UD or late round TKO he's simply not in PBF's class.

the marquez that fought at 130 last year would not get thrashed by mayweather there. He simply is too good and too smart. Mayweather may beat him but don't get carried away. It would be a close fight. Marquez at 130 we could say was at or close to the peak of his powers. Mayweather at 130 was 21 and still getting better.

mayweather and pac also used their speed differently so not too fair of a comparison.

Marquez is a superb counterpuncher, one of the best in this generation, but Floyd is almost certainly better and has superior hand speed and movement, which would kill JMM's ability to consistently time and counter as he preferred to do.

Marquez would have his moments, and due to sheer skill he wouldn't be out of things, but this is Floyd's fight. Too much speed, too great a difference in physical gifts, and Floyd isn't a foil that JMM can shine against.

    Okay, one question.

What great counter puncher has PBF beaten?

Gatti, Manfredo, JLC, Coralles, etc... can some one please point me to the great counter puncher he has fought?

    Exactly, NO ONE!!!!

So where do you guys get off saying it going to be a landslide when he has never even been in there with a great counter puncher?

I will give an analysis of how I see the fight going down in a while, I am watching the Telefutura fight atm.

Finally, a sensible post for mayweather. I can see people thinking Mayweather would win, but to say he would white wash Marquez completely is selling the guy short. I think Floyd should be favored in this match-up but Marquez would be in the fight from the beginning to the end, he IS that good.

Only a fool or a hugger would pick Marquez on this one. No offense I got respect for that guy but this is a no no situation.
