I have nothing against Marquez. He's a great fighter but I don't think he has a chance to beat Floyd in first foray in the welter class. But if he beats Floyd even at his rustiness, I'll give him credit for it.

Agreed. It's inevitable. This would be the biggest money fight in this era.

:goodnice post! you bring out some good points there

I'm sick of all these PBF haters and all their bull**** agenda and double standards, they want him to fight mosley, williams, straight up coming from retirement. They feel and hope like this is the best way possible PBF is going to lose. They won't allow him to take a tune up to shake off the rust while those fighters you've mentioned took those tune ups even while they were active fighters.

Too much of a jump in weight for JMM I think and to be taking on the division and P4P number 1. Don't give him any chance even though the man is a great super featherweight/lightweight.

After this Floyd should take on Mosely but I know he's going to take on Pacquiao versus Hatton winner. Floyd just isn't much of a risk taker. I'd love to see him fight a top fighter in the 147 division and top fighters in other divisions. Theres some great fights. Would love to see him fight Mosley, Cotto, Williams.

hmm says... $20 bucks he's not going to finalize the JMM contract until he knows the winner of Pac vs Hat.

Sorry. I meant to say I would love to see him fight the great fighters in the 147 division instead of the great fighters in the lower divisions. The way I said it sounded like I didn't rate Hatton and Pacquiao which of course is ludicrous. Can't wait for that fight now. Its going to be awesome.

Just a thought but if Hatton beats Pacman convincingly, the JMM could well be p4p#1.

How much money would the former p4p champ vs the current p4p champ generate????

same goes for the guy on your avatar who fought the still active and more bigger fighter in DLH, nobody gave him a ****ing chance except for most rabid fans. I tell you if pac challenge floyd now it is ok, because like floyd a lot of people hate pac too.

JMM is concensus P4P #2, some even have him at #1.

And like the other poster said, PBF is not that much bigger than him. And to think PBF has been inactive for some time now.

    How is that cherry picking?

mosley will fight the winner of cotto-clottey next, he wants to fight cotto more than PBF because of the loss he had to cotto which he thought and some people also thought he won. If all works out well by the end of the year or early 2010 pbf would fight the welterweight on top by then.

correction he is only 37 yrs old now, present time and at the end of the year makes no difference he is still 37 years old by then. Seeing as how many people think mosley is old right now that wouldn't make any sense if pbf would fight him.

Don't get me wrong but i like to see this fight too, but mosley declined to fight pbf before just so he could fight DLH, and rejected to fight pbf again because of a toothache excuse

Those aren't even decent points. No-one said anything because at least they all fought fighters in their ****ing weight class!
