props for him for moving up in weight and still dominating the competition. floyd is settled at 147 and naturally people would want to see him fight with cotto or any other welterweight.

    Its not about that.

Floyd naturally weighs 145-147. Meaning he could easily fight at 140 without having any problems.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't want him to fight Cotto. Im just saying he is the smaller man in nearly any fight he will go into.

Pacman started at 106 and I can't ever remember anyone that small moving up to capture a lightweight title. It's also quite amazing that in the amatuers cotto was once small enough to fight Ivan Calderon. I think Floyd could easily make 140 considering he had to bulk up considerably to get to 154. I think if he does make weight he kills Pac would waste many punches and he is susceptible to a straight right which is pretty much floyd's money punch.

my point is, floyd is a naturally bigger fighter than pac. both are great fighters and if we are going to make them fight, pac would not have the skills and talents advantage since floyd also brings this to the table and size would play an important role in this fight. hey look, pac is more skillfull and talented than hatton but pac is still a huge underdog in this fight just beacuse of size alone.

and i see your point that floyd is a naturally smaller fighter than most welterweights but it is absurd that he is as small as pac as to let them fight who is a natural 112/122 fighter.

Floyd by KO ... exposes Pac w/ straight punches and superior footwork ...

Mayweather can make 140 ... he could probably cut down to 135 ... he's not that big naturally ...

Doubtful on either. He's a WW, and hasn't weighed 140 is years.

I think Floyd could easily cut 7lbs to make weight for 140.

Defo not an easy fight for Floyd.
That said, It's hard to fight someone who don't fight back.
Manny is at his best when attacked or pressed, he has probs with Counter's.
+ Pac would be in the ring with a fighter on par if not faster than himself.

Floyd would most likley back pedal & Potshot his way to a UD.
(Making even a Manny Fight look dull)

    Potshot against the smaller Manny?

Mayweather would kill Manny with combos.
