Floyd can make the weight, easily. You're comparing his position to others who moved up because making the weight at lower classes became too draining. Floyd moved up for money.

He only needs to drop 8-10 lbs and he could do that in 24 hours if he had to.

I don't know if I'd take him to beat pac too easily, though. Pac's pressure is better and more efficient than Hatton's, and he has better movement. I'd have to see how Pac does against Hatton before making up my mind in this one.

I will say that Pacman put on a performance against Diaz at 135 similar to PBF's performance against Gatti, and Gatti I don't think is as good as Diaz. But PBF probably can never get down to that weight. It would be stupid for Pacman to go up to 147.

If PBF can get to 140 it would be a hell of a fight.

Floyd would ruin Pac at 140 even right now.

Let's face it guys, Diaz was made for Pac to look good against. Diaz was never any good IMO and barely winning a dec against an extremely shot EM was a example of what he was capable of which isn't much!

Pac would have to deal w/not only trying to catch Floyd, but trying not to get hit. He'd be in trouble whatever way it went. If he was offensive he'd get countered and taken out rather quickly. If Floyd went on the offensive Pac would have a hell of a problem trying to avoid punches, and still get off.

Pac though improved is no where near Floyd's skillset, or ring IQ. Pac still get frustrated at times and Floyd would frustrate him all night. He almost has to stop and think about what to do as he did several times against JMM. Pac only advantage would be age. After that it stops. His power wouldn't mean much and I doubt it would carry. Even at 135lbs it hasn't carried. Yeah he stopped Diaz, but he landed numerous hard shots before Diaz's exhaustion gave in! He won't land 1/4 against Floyd, nor would he outlast him over 12rds. I just can't see anyway that Pac could come out w/a win(not even a lucky punch):nono

    Floyd by KO/TKO b4 6rds

    Floyd in 10.

Pac would walk onto shots, he wouldnt be able to outbox Mayweather, he would have to go in and bang and i think Mayweather would catch him reg coming in.

If you go off the Diaz fight just ask yourself one question.....Would Mayweather have done similar to Diaz and i believe he would have.

If Pac had trouble with JMM counter punches, PBF would have a field day.

Pac is my Current Favorite though.

Floyd would likely give an amazing performance here, knocking Pac off at the fifth or sixth.

I don't think Floyd would make the weight comfortably at all, which is why he'll never fight below 147 again. My prediction would have to be same as it is now at 147; Mayweather UD.

wow i remember this thread like it was yesterday and some floyd fans really think floyd can still make 140 that time and when he failed to make even the 144 catchweight for the jmm fight after a year, they realized that floyd is a full-blown welter now.
