PBF vs RJJ in a SUPERFIGHT @ 160...who wins?

RJJ wouldnt make the weight and PBF has no place fighting at 160.

 

Roy was never a great technician. And he was.

 

The fact that no one can duplicate his skill level in his style is a testament to how good Jones was at his style. He adjusted all the time. He adjusted to make others adjust. Jones was brilliant at making you fight his fight.

None of these things prove Jones wasn't a great technician. On the contrary. And if someone tried to fight like Ali, they would most likely fail as well.

 

i dont think he was a great technician, he was good at fighting the way he fought, breaking all the normal rules of boxing, but Mayweather is a BOXER, fights a more traditional style. i dont understand why you quoted the earlier comment.

 

we can argue all day, Jones was great, my favorite of all time, and to me the best of all time. on a side note, if jones was great at adjusting, and making people fight his fight, why did Tarver force the fight on Jones, and what about Glenn Johnson?

 

The bottom line is that RJJ was at least as great (call it skills, or being a technician) as Mayweather- but he went about it differently.

You are concealing these elements of his game under the guise of "unnatural athletic ability" but its a matter of time before your definitions don't hold water. Im just trying to help you.

its true, he did have unnatural athletic ability, he would have been great at any sport IMO. and its an opinion, theres no right or wrong with opinions. i respect your point of view, mine is just different.

He destroyed Hatton while fighting Hattons kind of fight. Your original contention was that he makes fighters fight his kind of fight. Im just giving you an example of him not.

 

I can kind of agree with that, except i dont think it was Hatton making him do it, i just think Floyd knew he could fight that kind of fight, and do it better. anyways, ill spar with you guys in anothe thread, this ones going round in circles. :bbb
