So to summarise your arguments: * Because Tszyu lost to a "lesser fighters" than Floyd, Floyd instantly wins the fight minimum 8 rounds to 4? - obviously you guys watch Mayweather fights and have never heard of "styles make fights" before. * badintentions - Sharmba Mitchell and Zab Judah tried to give Tszyu movement to deal with - They both got brutally stopped - Neither stood in front of Tszyu - So there's that claim out of the window without even trying to go into a deeper analysis. * Roger and Floyd Snr and Jnr all share a similar stylistic trait - The only difference is that Roger and Snr had tougher fighters in their divisions at the time nor were as fast or skillfull as Floyd - I would rate Roger's and Snr's competition - prime Chavez and Ray Leonard for example as being superior to Corrales or Manfredo or any of Floyds other victims. The point being is they all use the shoulder roll and have a solid defense to set up their offense. Floyd was able to display his and for one second I'd love for any of you suffering the classic cases of "MBID" (Mayweather Ball Inhalation Disease") to show me where me suggesting: Is the same as just dismissing a World Champion amatuer and an ATG at 140 as being the victim of a wide decision. Danny - If you can't see the similarity in the Mayweather familly style - Then I suggest you watch some more fights other than the highlight video's of Floyd on youtube. I have an open mind in this fight and readily could see either man winning depending on circumstances and assessing their skills and abilities.
This thread has been done heaps of time. About 70% usually pick Floyd and 30% pick Tszyu (not sure how this pole is going). I think the votes sum up the probabilityquite well - i'd give Tszyu about 30% chance of winning this fight. But those saying Floyd would knock Tszyu out need to book themselves into a psychiatric hospital for an assessment. Are you people on crack? Do you pay attention to boxing at all? Jesus Christ. Get. a. grip.
Wow - Someone who can approach the topic without huffing Mayweather's dong. I could see that happening - However - The one thing that a couple of you guys have said about Tszyu doing well early is something that I think would be pivotal in the outcome of this fantasy fight. Floyd, IMO, usually liked to take a couple of rounds to figure out what he had in front of him and then use the middle rounds to take over and then put the champ rounds in the bank to win the fight. Tszyu was a pretty slow starter in many of his fights also and I could envisage a tentative first 3-4 rounds from both guys while they measure one another. It would have been an awesome fight. Oh well.
its nice to able to be dismissive when you cant answer a post directly, isnt it? which you won't do without judgments. just because mitchell and judah are the best example of 'floyd-esque' fighters you have it doesn't set a blueprint. infact judah backs up my argument more than yours because he absolutely cained tszyu in the first round of their fight and then showed exactly why he's a a flawed genius (and he is) in the second round, didn't he? but if you find anything in what i posted earlier then i'm sure you'll be able to answer it straight up, won't you? you're one of these people who is way too defensive to react directly to someone's post and that's the only way you're going to get credibility on this board.
I'm being defensive? You said that Tszyu needed a guy to stand in front of him to be successful. I gave you two examples of fighters Tszyu KO'd that didn't do that. Judah won a round against Tszyu and was KO'd in the seond round. If you watch that first round - Tszyu gets tagged with that beautiful left uppercut that Judahe hid behind his right shoulder and Tszyu's legs don't even buckle. The last seconds of the round Tszyu lands some heavy shots and I personally, personally, believe that is why Judah came out more defensive in the second round. What big point did you make that I haven't addressed? The part where I said the fight is close and I could see either guy winning a tight decision?
tszyu's shots were glancing at the end of that first roundand what you've said in the rest of the post reflects what i just said. my point is you're summarising people's posts to your own benefit but not willing to put yourself on the line. judah may have come out more defensive in th4e second because tszyu landed some leather but i doubt it. judah has proved since then that he can take punches but the one thing that struck me in this fight was how dismissive judah was at the end of the first when he was talking to his dad. that to me sums up judah a lot more than anything else. he was an immature fighter.
Phillips was a wasted talent and Tszyu couldn't adapt to his style for some reason. I would have liked to see a rematch between the two and how Tszyu would box in the their rematch but it never happened. When he fought Hatton he was 36 years old. You can also say that Tszyu was the only man to KO Chavez or that De La Hoya was stopped by the small Pacquaio but it doesn't tell the whole story. Don't get me wrong I think Hatton's victory over Tszyu was much better than those two and I think he's a good fighter. FMJ was a superior fighter but I always felt he chose his fights extremely well. A faded Judah UD (Tszyu TKO2), a faded Mitchell TKO6(Tszyu destroyed him in 3), a faded De La Hoya. Too bad FMJ and KT fought at different weights and KT was at the twilight of his career because a fight between these two would have been great. If he comes back and fights JMM and Pacquaio it would prove nothing for him. I'd like him to fight Cotto or Williams the most, closely followed by Mosley and then Clottey.
I agree with your Judah points. I have said, in my opinion - That this fight would be close and the MBID sufferers have just said I should get the **** out - You can make of that what you will mate. Was that the big point you were making that I was ignoring? Locke - I agree with your post, particularly the part about Mayweather coming back to fight the bigger welters - Much more intruiging to fight fans.
mate - around here - It's like if you disagree with a Floyd fan or dare suggest he could do more with his career - You're a hater. When there's 5 Floyd fans going at once, you gotta do SOMETHING to deal with them all. Peace.
"there's no room left on floyd's nuts with you guys taking up all the room". you're 35 years old and you're talking like a 12 year old. that's what got me going before i even knew how old you were. so if you back up what you have to say...why do you have to post tripe like this? because that doesn't back up anything at all...
Oh, so you're going to go there. You send me a PM crying about my posts, then call me a teenager - How many times do you wana get pwned in one thread? Basically - My response was to someone else, not you - That said anyone thinking Tszyu could win should get off his nuts. Once again, the MBID's love dishing out the smack, then when you hear something you don't like you start crying. :tired
australians are laid back guys but famous for bull****. and you're a bullshitter. it doesnt matter who the response is too - what matters is if you can back it up. and you've just done a perfect 180.
