If Arum is on board, do you think that he would let Floyd fight PAc at 154? Duh, nothing has been confirmed. Arum would've been the first to say this lol... Floyd can ask for a 60-40 split, and Pac can't do anything about it except say no. Pac does not deserve 50-50. If PAc gets 50-50, then so be it. Pac's fans are just plain dick riders lol...and have to spin anything out of control. when it comes to Pac being dissed, damage control comes out. The TS is in damage control mode. A lot of them are like this ever since the other day when I shitted on them lol...

The TS is reporting a lie that another writer lied about lol... I can believe the 10 oz gloves which is the norm if both agree. The fight being at 154 lol... Well, that's just special lol...

"Ellerbe, the burden of proof goes both ways. And I'm not reading your garbage novel... I know it probably pisses you off cuz it took you hours to research but still not creditable. I started the thread to quote a link.

I'm just here to report things. "

First I'm not ellerbe, secondly, you quoted a link AND you made a claim based upon it, you claimed that it was TRUE (that floyd indeed DID make those demands, ,where as I on the other hand don't claim to know either way, and others who claim the opposite of what you say is true, have their own burden). If you claim something is true, others can rightfully ask you to PROVE that it is true(that's what burden of proof is and it's on you here)Also, I'm not pissed at all, it took about a whole 5 minutes to put together, but others (i.e. the board you posted this topic on for others to see, can read it and judge your OP accordingly)

People on both sides are way off on this one. 10 oz. gloves would do very little to protect Floyd's hands. The brand of glove is what really protects a fighter's hands. Both parties have already agreed to do the fight at 147 lbs. The split is 50/50 and both fighters will wear 8 oz. gloves. Both fighters will also be able to choose the brand of gloves they want to wear. This is all per ESPN.

The fight will probably be in Vegas which would mean that it would be a 20 foot ring. I can imagine they'll use a 20 foot ring if it's in Texas as well.

It's amazing, though I guess not totally surpising, looking at the massive disparity in information reported concerning the fight. The media has been led all over the place, and it seems opportunistic supporters of either fighter have latched on to whatever suits their own purposes in the recurrent debates.

That said, it seems the ESPN article is legitimate, and it's great the fight will be at 147 with 8 oz. gloves of the fighters' choice.

The size as well as the brand has an effect.

The 10 ounce gloves is bigger, with more padding. and harder to find holes in a tight defense like the one employed by wright by virtue that is really a bigger gloves. It is designed for bigger fighters

The cleto reyes brand has horse hair as padding, which is a hard padding, therefore favored by punchers. The other brands has foam.

That is why I was upset when Leonard fought post Hagler. He would have these negotiations with fighters and have them weakened so he fights them. Hearns had to come in at 164, which worked out fine. I hope it is not at 154.

10oz gloves at 154 is a joke. After what DLH did to him you'd think he wouldn't play the same games. 8oz at 147 is the only thing it should be!
