PBF's deep dark secret!!

It's amazing how PBF has been claiming for years that he "fights the best that's out there," although people like Larry Merchant and Doug Fisher have noticed the same thing that I have. He hasn't fought the best that's out there. He has a very good resume at 130 and 135, but he has taken a much easier road than most fight fans would have liked. There were so many great fights that should have been made and weren't. The only people that can't seem to see this, are the die-hard Floyd fans. Even respected journalists have the same argument I have.

Again, it wasn't meant to belittle anyone, just a theory to try and make sense of the illogical. But, some people on this forum can't seem to handle a different point of view. They start feeling threatened, which was not my intention. I wish some of the readers of this thread would stop resorting to name calling. It just cheapens the argument and further proves my point of the irrational.

 

I did back it up with the carefully navigated, no risk, career decisions of PBF...again, just trying to think of a rational explanation for the irrational. For years, people in the boxing community have been trying to make sense of Floyds decision making, and it just doesn't make sense.

People on this forum seem to think that no one has ever navigated their careers because of a fragile chin. It happens all the time in boxing. I guess the Folyd fans just don't want to think of the idea that their hero has any flaws.

But, again, for someone with the skill of PBF, it doesn't make any sense to avoid all of these great fights.

 

You're right...it does happen all the time...so why does everyone freak out when someone points out the obvious. I have been watching boxing for twenty years. Nothing surprises me in this sport. It's amazing how PBF fans can't see it. PBF is just another gifted fighter in the world of other professional and gifted fighters.

 

The only reason why people give Floyd such a hard time about his careful fight plan, is all of the consistent self praise. He always claims that he fights the very best that's out there. This is obviously not the case. He brings it on himself.

 

Then what you are saying is that he is simply an opportunist at 140, 147, and 154. He should then, stop claiming that he has fought the best that is out there, because it is obviously not true.

I have said all that I'm going to say on this topic, other fighters that have sparred with him and people close to him know the truth. Unfortunately, most people on this forum can't handle the truth.

Why do you think he never lets anyone witness his sparring sessions?

Look, there is nothing wrong with having a suspect chin. It is very common in boxing. Most fighters are praised for taking on tough fights with a suspect chin, it is what creates drama in boxing. Unfortunately, there is no drama in PBF fights. When he fights big punchers, which is rare, he elects to pot shot or runs the entire time.

He knows the truth, I know the truth, most intelligent fight critics know the truth.
