You cannot expect someone who moved up 5 weights to fight everyone in those classes.

    He cleaned out 30

He went straight for the best at 35 twice

wanted the best at 40 (hatton but he turned it down)

Fought The last 2 undisputed champs at 47 along with the 140lb champ

and one of the best at 154

im asking to compare what SRL did against Hagler and what Floyd did against DLH. Compare who is running more.

fair enough, i overlooked chico and i do give mayweather credit for fighting him before he got shot.

Im not a mayweather hater, but im not really a fan either. I just feel that if he had been ballsier and taken more risks he would have fulfilled his promise. In the end SRR and SRL lost some fights and are remembered extremely fondly. Whereas a guy like Marciano who also was a surefire ATG has seen a little luster come off his legacy b/c of the fact that at the end of his career he became more concerned with protecting his "0".

I used to be a fan of his at 130 and 135. I lost faith in Floyd when he went straight for the paper Champion in the division of 140. At the time, the deepest weightclass in boxing. What a coward!!

I'm not impressed with PBF the way you guys are. None of his fights are exciting, and you won't see them on any classic fighting channels. PBF should have had guts and try to take the fight to Hoya. It would have given the style advantage to Hoya if he had done this, but he should have done it to do something great like knock Hoya out. I am happy Ali and the greats in the 70s never acted like Mayweather, the history of boxing would be so much different. If Ali had acted like PBF, I don't think it would have ever been as popular.

The only comparison you can make from those two fights are the controversial outcomes...to this day both fighters on the losing end feel jobbed!!

:good My problem is not with you. But the OP who is saying PBF has never fought anyone and that he has a glass jaw with no evidence. The statment in itself is retarted

i see that but he was always a guy who I thought really craved a mainstream audience along with crossover appeal. If he had had 2 or 3 more fights even against opposition that might not have totally tested the limits of his skills he could have made a significantly larger place for himself in sports history.

it just seems that after becoming a real draw by himself and showing the world after the Hatton fight that he didnt just run all the time, he could punch too that he had really set himself up for true superstardom.

PBF can live with all this criticism if he doesnt do anything about it.

There is no evidence for PBF even having a suspect jaw... Anyone fighting a much bigger Oscar would have been knocked out if they had a glass jaw. Glass jaw gets tossed around way too much on this site lately, i dont remember it always being like that.
