In what weight class that Mayweather has left behind would he have had the best chance of losing based off the talent that has gone through there since he has been active?

The one he currently resides in. Two current fighters very capable of beating him(one I favor handily). Also, guys like Quartey(if I understand the question correctly), Mosley, De La Hoya(at his best), etc all could beat him.

At 130 he beats them all.

At 135 I also believe, that since he's been around, he beats all that fought there, including Mosley.

At 140 he beats all there, Tszyu being interesting.

I agree 100%, except I wouldn't pick anyone to beat him handily at 147.

Well, I mean since he was in the division. So at 130, any fighters since he was there. At 135, any fighter while he was there and since he left, and so on.

Not fighters that were active in the weight class when he wasn't, or who were gone when he got there.

    Sorry should have been clear.

Whoops, didn't read the poll and picked the wrong option. 147 is where he would likely lose.

147lbs, I agree. But I dont agree on Mosely, who I think takes a split decision based on activity level and the willingness to up the anty in the late rounds.

I think P.W. and Cotto have a good chance of beating him. Williams because of style and Cotto because he is the beast of the division right now and prime.

I think the Mosley at 147 has a better chance of beating the Mayweather at 147 than the Mosley at 135 of beating the Mayweather at 135.

Mosley was arguably even quicker and definitely stronger at 147, he said so himself, and the proof is there on film that he was even quicker in his early WW days. Not to mention, Floyd hasn't been as quick or as active at WW as he was at LW. Therefore, I give Shane a better chance at 147(and possibly even favor him) than I do at 135.

Juan Diaz would give him hell at 135.
Casa at 130 would cause him some trouble also.
too early to tell but Gamboa at 130 would be interesting.

    I'll say now . . . at 147.

Margarito, Williams and Cotto are all dangerous fights for him.

Cotto and Williams are the best chance to beat PBF IMO.

Good points. One reason that I like Mosely which I forgot to mention is that he uses some broken rythym and his timing is hard to measure. His fighting style is somewhat "hyper" and its hard to predict where his is going.

Floyd is a master at guaging a fighters rythym and counterpunching, but I see him being thrown off my Mosely's rythym and finding himself behind on the cards late in the fight. Mayweather may get busier here but Mosely would match him to stay ahead on the cards.
