Is Bellew really no.2 with the IBO? No wonder it’s a joke organisation

It is exactly the opposite of a fantasy list. Positions are calculated by actual results on linear basis.

Explain this to me Mr 'actual results on linear basis'.

Tony Bellew has 2 wins at 'Heavyweight', both against a guy who doesn't even make that list.

How on earth is he 11th?

Hell, if we're using his wins at lower weights, GGG and Loma must be top 10 HW.

    Pure Fantasy.

Christian Hammer and Tyson Fury, with Miller above Whyte... What substances have been used here in the making of this absolutely ludicrous list.

And people thought BoxRec's formula was bad, this makes that formula look outstanding.

How Takam AND Breazeale are below Christian Hammer of all people, these guys need their eyes checking and their brains scanned as far as I'm concerned. What is Hammer doing there for goodness sakes!!! Unbelievable.

    Hahaha

Yeah that's a terrible list and that was the name that immediately stood out to me, Hammer at number 9.

What I don't understand is Tony Yoka being 7 places above Joe Joyce.

Joyce has won the Commonwealth Title, both 5-0, Yoka's best win is Dave Allen? Well Joyce beat the man (Lenroy Thomas) who beat Allen to win his Commonwealth Title.

I really can't begin understand this.

You seem to be promoting it, so can you explain why Yoka is above Joyce please?

Except that you have said that *sometimes* you pick and choose which results to literally flip flop. That has to change.

Tony Bellew beat David Haye twice once when he was ranked 17 and then ranked 19. Haye has now retired so no longer on the list. The numbers in the last twenty fights column relate to the (quality) pre-fight ranking of the opponent.

Takam has not beaten a top 50 fighter for over 3 years. Hammer has beaten two including one ranked 15. Brezeale's best opponent was ranked 25. It is not a subjective list.

It's relatively easy, wins against consistently higher ranked opponents - not just one higher ranked one.

Yoka is ranked higher in both PBO and Boxrec, but Boxrec show the boxer rating prior and after the fight. This is the boxing ratings for the opponents (at the time of the wins) each guys fights so far:

    Joe Joyce

    Ivica Bacurin - 15
    Lenroy Thomas - 28
    Donnie Palmer - 12
    Rudolf Jozic - 5
    Ian Lewison - 20

    Tony Yoka

    David Allen - 26
    Cyril Leonet - 23
    Ali Baghouz - 10
    Johnathan Rice - 25
    Travis Clarke - 23

Fun fact: The sum of Deontay Wilder's first 5 opponents ratings is less than the lowest rating for any of Yoka's opponents.

It is fairly simple to understand firstly it is not about who wins titles it is about opponent quality. Yoka has a slightly better resume over the 5 fights with 3 top 100 opponents and one just outside who is actually now ranked John Rice. Joe Joyce also 5-0 has one higher ranked opponent but three of the five wins are significantly weaker.

Yes if a fight was clearly a bad call by the judges we alter the points. 75% of the press must agree that the judges got it wrong before we do anything.

You do not get every press members' score. And you don't do that for obscure fights. Therefore, it is very unacceptable in a points-based ranking system.
