The evidence suggests Tua would not be prepared to get in the positions to give himself chance. He would taste Tyson's power and would agree a silent pact not to attack, but in return be able to go the distance ala Lewis/Tua.

Tyson by easy decision in a disappointing fight.

Nope, he was already showing little mistakes creeping in in that fight that he wasn't a year before.

    I like the Tuaman late.

I do not see Tyson being able to kill the clock or the capability to box his way to get to the finish line. The last few rounds are going to be extremely difficult for him to absorb that kind of left hook. And Tyson would just try to slug his way out of things anyway. And be right in front of Tua without the legs to give angles or have the movement to get out of the way.

So I go with Tua in a Lamon Brewster type fight===he absorbs better and rallies late. Tough physical fight and the attrition factor is what wins the bout. And I like Tua a lot better than Tyson in that department

And I would love--not like--the Tua chances if the fight was in Auckland and had 80000 fans cheering the Tuaman on. And see how Tyson could handle going into the lions den to win the fight.

    Peak Tyson.

I couldn't see it during Tua's peak, but as his career unfolded -we saw flaws during his prime. Whereas with Tyson, not so much so that I think Tua could take advantage of.
    1. Tua's power as Evander stated was based on how he threw his punches which were looping left to right.
    2. Tyson's power as Evander stated was done using speed. Plus he didn't need to loop shots. His left hook, uppercut and str8 were all capable of stopping a fighter, plus Peak/Prime Mighty Mike was a switch hitter. Looking at how he easily switch hit vs Spinks, Frazier.

Looking at Tua's best KO's were really lunging shots just watch him go haymaker/bonkers vs Ruiz. The hard shots that Ike took came via the same way. Wide. They were pretty quick, but still wide. With a 5' 11 Mike, those shots are ringing clear over his head.
With a bobbing, weaving MIke using the numers system..I think the opposite of those here that think Tyson was made to order for Tua. I say Tua would've been more easily dispatch-able for Tyson.

And while Mike could take some real good shots, he wasn't prone to getting hit like David because he had a gameplan that was to evade shots with head movement, lateral movement.
Tua depended solely on his whiskers, not a bad boxer but not an old school throw back either.

Anytime after Dougals, more than likely Tua weathers the storm and forces Milke to do something heinous to get of out losing legit.

Mr President resume is a tad thin compared to Iron Mike. Arguably his third best win was Marion Wilson, who if he had fought Tyson would not be in the top 20 of his best opponents fought. You are comparing apples with oranges there.

Dunno about peak Mike but post Holyfield Mike did NOT want to fight David Tua.

The Sky reporter interviewing Mike for the build-up to the Lewis fight made me laugh. He said 'A lot of people say it's just the David Tua fight again, but you've got a lot more than David Tua haven't you?' And he didn't. He actually had a lot less
