Peak Bob Foster Versus Peak Michael Spinks For All The Oil In Saudi Arabia

I hope Bob Foster's Saudi regime is more merciful.

 

I like Foster but wouldn't bet a nickel either way. Really no wrong answer here picking a winner

 

I'm really surprised at the early 3-0 lead for Foster. I was expecting to come on this thread having to defend Bob's chances, in what I'd see as a 50/50 fight, with Spinks getting a disproportionately high percentage of the votes owing to his higher quality wins at LHW and better record at HW.

 

Spinks would have a lot of trouble with the Foster jab.

 

Spinks would win a close decision. His awkwardness would be a key factor.

 

I'm going with Spinks i think he's got more dimensions to his game, and is more proven against quality opposition.

 

I went with Spinks but I firmly believe that this would be an outstanding light heavyweight fight.

 

Spinks would put Foster's lights all the way out.

 

Two of the greatest 175lb men ever. This would be a tight one and I feel it would go to the cards. Which would prove the most effective,Foster's jab or Spinks' Jinx? I have a feeling for a Spinks split decision but i could easily change my mind.

Michael Spinks is better in just about every way, with equal power, yes, equal power, Spinks went the distance more due to better opponents, I think part of Foster’s lack of success at heavyweight was down to him not being good enough, think about it, the light heavyweight scene was a wasteland and the heavyweight scene was a lot better.
Spinks is much quicker, much better as a boxer, better at shortening up his punches, better combinations, more powerful right hand, I’d really like to see someone who favours Foster actually break it down, because I really don’t know what they could possibly see there.
Spinks also looked less frail, he looked bigger at the weight.
Foster has a better left hook, that’s literally it.
This is obviously subjective, but IMO, Spinks is H2H the best Light Heavyweight of all time, there’s no one who beats him in history at that weight IMO.

 

I think Foster wins this one though he’s losing the poll, but serious question - has Foster ever won a fantasy fight on this forum? Feels like I’ve never seen it.
