Can you see Mayweather being outboxed by a Montell Griffin level boxer?

Come on. Griffin gave him some trouble, but Jones was about to put him out when the DQ happened. And he set the record straight in the rematch.

Well, he did drop rounds to Griffin. Who was below Castillo's level.

But otherwise I agree. Jones looked untouchable like perhaps no other ever in his prime.

I agree, Griffin + Futch were well prepared and had a great game plan. But Jones was adjusting and coming on stronger. And you're right, Jones set the record straight in the rematch.

Losing round after round to Judah? Do you actually know how to score fights? Never mind the 10, 4, and 6 point margins on the official scorecards.

Oscar near SHOT in 2007? GTFO

And where the fuk did you dream up Mayweather's peak was the Gatti fight?

You always bring up faded Jones when everyone else is doing ****ysis based on prime for prime. Try reading the thread title again. I know you don't think much of him but why can't you do better than that?

Well yea but Griffin was sparked in 1 in the rematch and was about to get KO'd. Plus I think you're both partly underrating Griffin a little, he got the 2 wins over Toney disputed or not.

Aside from that fight Jones was barely dropped a round in the first 13 years of his career. 2 or 3 against BHOPs and 2 or 3 against Harding aside.

    Mayweather wasn't quite as dominant.

I think De Valle was better than a journeyman. And Jones didn't take a lot of punishment. And I said "absolute prime." That fight did not occur at such a time.
