:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Thats the first thing i noticed as well. These foos posting without know the sport. :deal
The only ignorant post is yours buddy. Name all the great accomplishments in Cubas boxing history (besides the amateurs) Hell! Even the fighter, who could potentially be the best to ever come out of Cuba, ended up fighting out of Mexico as a Mexican citizen. In all honesty, JuanMa and Gamboa have potential. Do you understand the meaning of potential? They are nothing as of now. There is a reason for them not fighting the best yet. Reason being is that not even their own handlers feel they are ready to step up! Enough said!:smoke
do you know how many mexicans Casamayor beat, starting by former champ Roberto Garcia? again this discussion is pointless
All of them would beat JuanMa pretty easily,as for Gamboa so far he has looked great but i still need to see him against better of opposition to see if hes the real deal or not.
Casamayor was way past his prime even at age 37 when he fought Marquez. Why? Because the Cuban Olympic fighters all have " 250-350 amateur bouts " before they turn pro, and when they reach their mid 30's it's downhill for them. Casamayor was prime from age 26 to 35 more or less. His last great performance was against Michael Katsidis and after that he became very slow and old from one day to the other... He got humiliated by Marquez by getting stopped, something that Casamayor was the best at, not getting KO'ed. Casamayor would have " smacked " Marquez when he was in his prime, I am so sure of that... :bart
Amateure is one thing and the Pro's well " eso es otra cosa" two different animals. Casamayor IMO has been one of the best Cubans to fight in the Pro's. Casa gave JMM a great fight but got destroyed. I think he lost a close decision against Castillo as well.
