Hi Guys. I have had a 25 year journey with my insomnia, tried everything from , meds, to counting sheep, soft music, rain drops, yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, chanting Hari Krishna, when I was younger copious amounts of alcohol, not going to bed until early hours, warm scented bath, nothing, and I mean nothing, has worked, but if I was strapped in to a chair, and my head was aligned to the tele, and the Bugner/ Young " fight " was being shown, reckon I wouldn't see the 5th round......zzzzzzz stay safe fellow posters.
I'll be in the minority and give the nod to Bugner--but I'll stay in the majority with the opinion that watching this fight would be as exciting as watching paint dry LMAO!!
Most exciting fight ever !!! This would make fight of the century look like a day of watching the paint dry !
So much talk about Dempsey vs Marciano, but this is THE fantasy fight that true (and duly closeted) boxing fans lust most for. The scorecards that win this will be the ones that are least in the negative. I think Jimmy can out-passive Joe in this fight.
Oh yeah? Then this classic from 11 years ago created by the legendary @cross_trainer immediately replied to by the fabled @Boxed Ears will send you into a coma... https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...uiz-fight-to-the-finish.490559/#post-15754908
That thread was worth a bump my friend with me indulging in my own trailing comments. Hot Take: The many snooze fests seen during Young’s career were NOT Jimmy’s fault - he was just unlucky to have fought a LOT of boring fighters - some even absolutely **** scared of the Young Lion. Sometimes the apparent common denominator for multiple identical scenarios can lead to false conclusions. Foreman fought scared, playing the role of spoiler just to survive the distance with Young. So much for Foreman’s rep. as a killer in the ring. The BIG pretender, was first career George. A fantasy fight like, say, Young vs Dempsey, would’ve allowed for the true tiger in Jimmy to come out. A very misunderstood fighter, The Mighty Jimmy Young was, imo. Shame ‘bout that.
