I think u have a hold of something. I actually think Norton had a lot of success against Ali, Young, and Holmes, all conventional boxers. But then I got 2 thinking about how Ellis boxed Chuvalo. It was like Holyfield, or Eddie Machen. Ellis would jab, then inside real fast w/ a big right hand 2 keep Chuvalo off balance. WHAM! And then back out again, jumping around, in and out, jabbing. I've never seen anyone fight Norton that way, so it would be really interesting, and perhaps pretty effective. I think a Norton victory is unanimous. But I agree w/ you. Ellis was stronger than any of the boxer types Norton faced. I think he could take at least 5 rounds against Norton in a 12-round fight.
