Peak Larry Holmes V Peak Rocky Marciano

I’d favor Holmes but have no predictions on the final outcome. He had the size, chin, stamina, jab, uppercut and footwork to pull this off. But Marciano’s bobbing and slipping the jab along with his relentless two-fisted attack would make this harder than some might think. Holmes would get tagged with some of those SuzieQ’s and needless to say he’d be urinating blood the next day from all the body attacks

 

Weaver hit harder with that left hook than Rocky did with his right. Wasn’t comparing Weaver’s right to Rocky. And Rocky isn’t gonna hit Larry with nothing! Holmes would destroy Rocky. Sorry but Rocky never faced anyone like Larry! But then again Rocky can beat anyone lol

 

Not really barring a right hand Marciano is tailor made for Holmes. I fail to see how 5'10 67 inch reach fighter, is a bad style match for a 6'3 82 inch reach fighter, who is one of the best fighters at controlling the distance with his jab.

Marciano's crouching style would not be effective vs Holmes.

If he could get up from Shavers bomb, if Rocky knocked him down he would get up .I don't think he would be floored by Rocky however.Holmes had ,a great uppercut I see that landing regularly once Rocky has taken those lazer jabs to get inside. Old Joe Louis significantly marked Marciano up Holmes would turn his face into raw hamburger.
I think he stops Marciano, and he might even floor him.

 

Prime Lastarza was floored and lost to a journeyman lhy.He wouldn't make a decent sparring partner for Larry.
