I'm not saying it's 100% clear proof, but it is something that makes one suspect, and Lewis is not on that list.

Now, if someone qualifies for 4 or 5 different steroid effects (Holyfield.... early baldness, check, heart problems, check, huge traps, check, gaining 20 pounds of muscle without fat when already ripped and matured, check)... then you have a lot more suspicion.

My point is that if steroids were around in the 30's, you would've named Carnera as a user while clearly he wasn't. If steroids were widely around in the 60's, Liston would've been accused of it (they actually were around at that time, but not as wide spread).
Just because Lewis is big doesn't mean he used steroids. And while Lewis is very big, 6'5" is not such a great exception anymore. When he went from 227 to 240 lbs, it wasn't pure muscle without fat he added like Holyfield did. He doesn't have a ripped physique. Do you think Bowe used them too?

Thank you. Pictures are worth at least 50 words. Lewis never had the Morrison or Briggs physique. He seemed to age naturally with his body. Again, this is just the eye test.

I guess it is senseless to respond now that you have said "good-bye" but you just can't grill a guy who has passed dozens of drug tests and who has never- in my limited experience in the game- been even the object of insinuation or innuendo on a professional level. When Shannon Briggs or Holyfield or Morrison weighed in, those I know or have known in the business snickered, rolled their eyes or outright guffawed. There was a sense among those who had watched these guys that they were overtly juicing. I just have never heard these same accusations tossed around regarding Lewis. And it was during Lewis' reign that I most involved in the sport, knew writers, a few trainers, a couple champs and more contenders. Not that I was some insider but knew some definite insiders. Never heard that about him. What you heard about Lewis is that he did not dedicate himself or focus as well as he could have, he was a bit aloof and he may not have really loved the game towards the end.

I have huge traps and I dont juice. If you do weights like shrugs, power cleans and even squats and overhead presses you get big traps. BTW Lennox looked huge against Rahman

Most bodybuilders didnt experiment with Roids until the 70s let alone boxers. Bodybuilders are the pioneers of these sort of things. Arnie in the 60s-70s, was 1 of the steroid pioneers and he was doing zlich compared to todays monsters

Anyway regardless of whether Lewis took performancing enhancing drugs, I'll guarantee you he and every successfull boxer today used performancing enhancing supplements. These are completely sports legal BUT a good Supplement class can be improve performance as much as some milder steroids if you know what your doing

You're correct, it's also down to body proportion and neck length as well. Holyfield (who was/is a juicer) has a relatively long neck. Even if he hadn't been on the roids/HGH I think he'd still have big traps. I have big traps and I know for sure I'm not juicing! I also do some light lifting once a week and my arms are as proportionly big as Evander's. You can be muscular and solid and still be clean, it is possible.

It's almost getting to the stage that you cannot have a lean, ripped physique without being accused of being on something. In any case, a sure way to spot a juicer is someone who has bulked up in a short space of time and still has a very low body fat percentage. Remind you of anyone? ;)
