Mayweather was also more reckless, but he was still very much controlled, and had a much better medium between his offense and defense. Mayweather also hit very hard at 130lbs, Pacquiao wouldn't be able to walk onto too many shots...and he would literally be walking onto shots. To be fair, I doubt big fight experience would have mattered at all. Pacquiao was more devastating in the lower weight classes...but he is definitely hitting harder than ever at the minute, and his speed hasn't dropped too much...only ever so slightly.
I don't think any version of Pacquiao would beat Mayweather. Mayweather is just too good in every department.
It is possible to argue that Pac's peak is right now, hell we may have not have even seen his peak yet!
THIS^^^ Floyd beats him at ANY weight!!! When Floyd was 140 and below he was more aggressive and was still as hard to hit! He's just so much a better boxer than Manny
Based on overall ability and overall Skills...I would lean toward Floyd at about every weight class...135,140,147...I thinnk Floyd's ring generalship will be a major factor.
Floyd at any weight for me. I think, contrary to what others may believe, that if they fought now Pacquiao would have a better chance than at 130-135. He was too reckless, at 130 in particular, and Mayweather would just be too smart, and he'd punish him, due to his output being higher and him hitting harder at those weights. However, he often squares up when he fights southpaws, which nullifies his shoulder roll. If he fought a southpaw with good feet, who could punch with him, he'd encounter problems, and that's what a current Pacquiao offers with his improved technical proficiency. But I still think Mayweather wins, just in a closer fight. He's too smart, and can adjust to just about anything Pacquiao will do. He may have success with what I just mentioned, but after a few rounds Mayweather would eradicate that and take over for a well deserved points win.
The 130 pound version of PBF would absolutely tool Pac. Too much speed, too much lateral movement and too much defense for Pac to contend with. That version of PBF was the GOAT at 130 and a absolute terror for anyone at that weight in boxing history.:deal
Mayweather beats Pacquiao anywhere from 130-154, he`s just a better athlete & boxer, always has been.
:rofl:rofl How would he ovewhelm him when PBF wouldn't be there? PBF's footwork at 130 was light years better than Pac's and he would literally box circles around him.:deal
