I reckon around the Holyfield bout. When he beat Moorer, fighting the true elite really wasn't an option; when he fought Holyfield, it was an option but pointlessly risky one if there was no belt on the line.
I rate 1990 as foreman’s best year. He fought five times a scored five knockouts against mostly winning comp. After the Holyfield loss he started fighting significantly less. That and he went from old to ancient.
You might be right about the Cooney fight, although id probably go with the Holyfield fight. That was probably the toughest opponent of his comeback and he fought well. Moorer was good too, but it was more of a great victory then it was a great performance
His best performance was against Holyfield in my opinion. Especially when considering the level of competition. His best win was against Briggs (Though some how he lost) Also his ko's of Cooney and Moorer were outstanding considering his age.
Michael Moorer. The peak of George Foreman's Comeback was recapturing the Lineal Heavyweight Championship.
