Crawford's overall accolades and resume are every bit as good as JMM's. He is absolutely not "so far ahead of Crawford," the Pacquiao win is the only real standout which might separate the pair but apart from that they bested mostly the same level of opposition, with Crawford showing a greater range of skill and shining in his biggest fights. idk if Marquez beats the version of Gamboa who Bud fought, let alone Spence, Porter, Madrimov, Postol, and even past-it Amir Khan might have squeaked by JMM. Marquez was a natural featherweight, he would lose to plenty of the guys Crawford fought based off size alone, not even considering the handful of bad style match-ups there are for him among the boxers Crawford beat. Crawford is a bad style for JMM, and is the obviously more accomplished fighter, Marquez would be game but would get handily outboxed by the bigger, stronger, and frankly better man.

Terence would have held a huge reach advantage.

Pacquiao probably at 135lbs, but at 140lbs and 147lbs, Crawford neutralises Pacquiao and outboxes him.

Victor Postal gave Terrence more problems than he should have had. I know he was young back then and he probably is better now, but Postal is nothing to Manny ,so I imagine Manny can deal with him

O Really, the same Marquez that was totally dominated by Tim Bradley. Bud beats him worse, and if Marquez can have three very tight fights with Pacman, I think Bud one ups him and beats him. I wouldnt be surprised if Pacquiao puts him down a time or two but i think Bud def can win. Floyd I'm not so sure of, that would be a fight for the ages

Crawford 12-0’d Postol in a fight that was seen as being pretty even heading in.

Crawford 100% should be the favorite.

This is probably a pick em fight. But I narrowly favor Pac. There was several years when the man was an absolute beast

Crawford would easily pick apart Pacquaio and knock him out mid to late. Pacquaio would just walk onto counters time and again. We saw Marquez pick him apart, now he's going with a similar counter puncher who's much more athletic and powerful with a much better defense.

I think that's perception and the smokes and mirrors of matchmaking. Pacquaio never proved himself the best in any division he boxed in. Essentially he went from getting a gift decision at 130 against Marquez to facing lots of drained left hookers who didn't really know how to box against southpaw angles at welter and consequently looking incredible. And then waits for Marquez to be ancient before going for the rubber, where he got schooled in a 1 sided 3rd fight against Marquez. To then getting sparked against Marquez who knew the judges would never give him the nod over the golden boy.

Freddie Roach openly admited that they swerved Joan Guzman, when Manny was at 126-135. At least he fought Marquez though, both Morales and Barrera avoided him at 126.

Crawford 12-0d Postal yet Postal put up a way better fight than Canelo did. Canelo got 10-2d.
Crawford vs Postal was just boxing being boxing which is why the judges saw it that way.

Pacquiao shouldn't be counted out in this fight, although it is a hard one to imagine, especially when each poses stylistic problems for the other, with Manny struggling with rangy outboxers/counter-punchers in the past and Crawford having his hands full with the foot speed and bounciness of both Gamboa and especially Madrimov. Both men have sizeable chances of beating the other, whether it's Pacquiao darting in and out with straight lefts and swivel jabs or Crawford stepping out and catching him with check hooks and counter uppercuts. To think it would be one-sided either way is a mistake imo, and undervalues the greatness of both fighters.
