I favour bowe to win on points but Foreman could destroy him early or at any time

Bowe loses the fight at the mid-ring staredown.

Bowe ducked Lewis because he knew he would lose.

Foreman would intimidate Bowe.....Foreman by TKO in 8 rds.

Foreman would win a battle royale..he would impose himself on Bowe and stop him in 6.

IMO Foreman draws Bowe into a slugfest reminiscent of his fight with Ron Lyle.
Exept Big Daddy probly couldn't take the heat like Lyle could. I think George stops him around the 6th.

Bowe had better conditioning, underrated heart, excellent power, kept a better pace. And yet I would still give Foreman a slight edge in the odds just because I think Foreman was a huge puncher and Bowe would be right there to be hit, and I think George's chin was better. This would be a slugfest, and in such a fight I give the edge to the better defense or chin. Defense was about a wash, perhaps slightly in Bowe's favor, but I think Foreman wins in the chin department. I don't think the punches that Golota and Holy hit Bowe with were as hard as a young Foreman's punches, nor were they as good at finishing a man. Foreman proved with Lyle that he could get blasted really really hard on the jaw several times and still come back to win by KO. Of course, Foreman would have to get by Bowe's power too, so this fight is no cinch, but rather a brutal war. Now Bowe could get up, as he proved with Holy and Golota, but Foreman was just a superior finisher. But Bowe could really punch too, so it would be a war.

If Bowe lasted the early rounds, his chances would grow exponentially because he kept a really good pace for a heavyweight and had heart and would outwork George.

I just can't get my mind off of what Lewis did to him in the Olympics, and fact that he avoided Lewis like the plague as a pro. In truth, Bowe avoided true punchers until Golota, who wasn't amongst the best of the punchers of the era, although he could punch. I give RIddick credit for taking a hellacious beating and showing massive heart, but can't help but think that if Foreman was there in place of Golota, he would have been finished.

I'm not sure I like Bowe against punchers.

Seeing as he never met one and was floored and badly hurt by a couple of only "fair" punchers I don't blame you.

No way can I see Bowe even lasting the distance against George, let alone beating him. Riddick's shaky defence causes him to take too much punishment.

    Foreman in five.

Bowe will have some success when he manages to pull back at close range and fire off his uppercut.

But George would batter him. Bowe was tough, but not incredibly tough. He could be dissuaded, and lacked the mental toughness to stick it out in the trenches with Foreman.

    Foreman K.O within six rounds.

Me too, Bowe's technically better, a hell of a chin, a puncher in his own right, has shorter punches, taller, heavier and maybe quicker. Foreman is stronger and hit harder

To be fair I think he had a great amount of that, inside the ring if not outside the ring. Taking the punishment he did from lesser punchers proves that. The problem is that against a heavier puncher his legs could go and he wouldn't be able to recover and take the beatings. Bowe against the ropes wasn't pulling any "rope-a-dope", he was just getting hit at will because he was too stunned to move out of the way. Holyfield and Golota both put him there, Hide rocked him, Foreman too could surely accomplish the feat.

Everyone knows about Foreman and what he brought, however Bowe's own punching power, as well as an advantage in height, range, and boxing abilities, make me not want to bet on this.

I'll predict Foreman by late rounds stoppage, but wouldn't be surprised at an upset by Bowe, for the aforementioned reasons.

  13. foreman by ko, clean ko, not tko, foreman would absolutely destroy bowe, foreman had a better chin, bowe was easy to hit and he did not have the chin of george. forman was stronger, harder puncher and he had better chin.

I think Bowes heart is underrated. A tough street kid from Brooklyn who made something
out of nothing. In my opinion Bowe is an atg head to head not legacy wise. Bowes jab height
Reach and power were formidable. I believe Bowe had better technical skills, however
Foreman was also a real tough guy before he started boxing and that olympic gold medal
speaks for itself. Peak against peak Bowe could win if he was smart. However Foreman
really was a force of nature and I would pick Foreman by KO in 8. When Bowe got dropped
Against holy he was done for about a minute but holy couldn't finish him, foreman would.
after seeing foreman Lyle I believe foreman could survive a knockdown from Bowe. I've
never seen Lewis Bowe Olympics only heard a bunch about it, amateurs and pros are
different and I don't think Bowe was afraid of some Brit who was born with a silver spoon.
im not a lewis hater either he's arguably the best heavy of his era. Peak Bowe has a shot, anyway
Foreman KO 8. Against Lewis Foreman KO 4

Probably Foreman, although Bowe is pretty big compared to Foreman.
