Depends of Liston fight game, if he decide to box and somehow survive then yeah but if he decide to slug with Foreman he gets brutally bullied and knocked OUT.
Liston for me. Equitable power but far more well rounded, better paced and with appreciably greater boxing IQ. Liston options and perfectly balances his abilities to both box and slug exactly as and when required. George gone inside of 5 - 6 rounds max. A choice dream fight nonetheless.
I've always viewed the trio of Tyson, Liston, and Foreman in this way: Foreman being all wrong for Tyson, Tyson being all wrong for Liston, and in the context of this thread -- Liston being all wrong for Foreman.
Liston could not get Machen and DeJohn that easily, yet some of his delusional fans picks him to KO Foreman, who was stronger, more agressive and with better chin. Liston feets and hands are not fast enough to outbox prime Foreman and his chin was not good enouh too. He was boxer- puncher which is okayish at best against Foreman, but if you want to beat prime Foreman you can only beat him by being like Ali/Young which Liston isn't. As Cus stated, no one comes and survives against Foreman.
Liston has better defense, better boxing ability, less durability. If this goes to the cards Liston wins. If someone wins by KO it's Foreman
