I take Floyd, but Crawford has an excellent chance. His reach and constant adaption would definitely give Floyd a lot to think about, but I tend to think Floyd is just a bit better and it makes the difference.

I learned my lesson after betting on Oscar, Ricky, Castillo(2nd fight) and Chico. Floyd always finds a way too win. I like Crawford a lot but prime Floyd beats him.

I think Crawford will make the fight competitive. I don't see Floyd putting a master class on Crawford. Crawford has a lot of heart and he sees everything in the ring to get beat to that extent. I would favor Floyd because I look at both fighters as having similar styles. They both are counter punchers. They both rely on timing. They both are masters of distance. I just think Floyd is just better at those things than Crawford. I think Floyd is better at transitioning from offense to defense and vise versa. I know Floyd is a better athlete than Crawford which would play a role as well. Floyd has faster hands and feet. Better reflexes as well.

From a technical standpoint, Floyd does things that has given Crawford a lot of problems. Crawford STRUGGLES with level changes. It is something that he has struggled with from the beginning of his career till today. Gamboa, Kavaliauskas, Porter, Avanesyan, and Madrimov off the top of my head all had success using level changes. None of them are near Floyd's level when it comes to uses them. Feints and probes give Crawford issues (To be fair they give Floyd issues as well just not to the same extent). Floyd is very good at using them to get his offense off.

I think the fight would start off as a boxing match. I think Crawford comes out southpaw from round 1. But once Crawford starts to get out boxed because of Floyd superior athleticism and utilizing things that give Crawford issues, Crawford will try to make it a dog fight. He will be willing to eat some punches to try and make it a rough fight. He'll win some rounds doing it too because Crawford is excellent at getting off combinations in close ranges. He uses a lot of feints and level changes himself that throw his opponents off. I think that would give Floyd issues. Floyd would adjust by holding when Crawford gets close, utilizing movement and counter punching when Crawford over exposes himself which Crawford can do. I think it's a competitive 8-4 win for Floyd. Maybe some would argue 7-5 but the winner wouldn't be in doubt.

This is a very interesting matchup that I go back and forth on quite often.

Floyd outboxes Bud pretty handily if Bud fights orthodox. If Bud decides to box as a southpaw, that could be more interesting as Floyd had a bad habit of stepping inside the lead foot of southpaws to land the lead right hand, which opened him up for the left down the pipe, a shot which Crawford packs a real punch in landing.

An important clarification here is whether we are using Money Mayweather or Pretty Boy Floyd. In my opinion, Pretty Boy’s more aggressive tendencies would work against him here as he was even more open for the southpaw left hand as stated above, far more so than when he matured at 140, 147 and 154.

The weight class could also be an important factor as Bud has been fighting more and more regularly as a southpaw with less stance switches as he’s aged and has generally become more disciplined and less erratic in his approach.

That said, at the moment I’d take Floyd, Bud has seemed to struggle when he’s in there with legit technicians who have good feints and footwork, just my two cents.
