Russell, of course none of the B and C level opponents he fought were able to expose him, that is what I'm getting at, his level of opposition. It was nowhere near Foreman's, and Foreman had advantages on his opponents like size which Galaxy didn't. Also, Foreman was actually quite good at cutting off the ring, otherwise he'd never have accomplished anything, it was his ability to close the distance, and stalk, that did it for him. Galaxy would just seem to wait for whenever he felt like it, or whenever his scared opponent would stop moving without a punch thrown. I'll probably have to see some of his fights against the top guys he faced(Kim, Pical, Castro, Contraras) to make a more accurate judgment of him, but from what I've seen, very, very flawed, and I don't see how anyone seriously analyzing him couldn't see that.

Flash Elorde should be higher, he defended the world belt for 7 years, not some phony abc crap.

By the way, Harada's wins over jofre were in japan and from what i heard eder was extremely pissed off when he found out that he wasnt given the decision. I dont know, it seems kinda fishy to me.

Do you consider him a candidate for #1?

I don't know how anyone could consider Erode number one.

    Good, but not THAT good.

    Great link.

Some of these poor *******s don't even know they've been KO'd.

Seriously, that's like a KO highlights reel for Sonny Liston.

well from this list, hes one of the few that are in rings top 80. He beat a past his prime version of sandy saddler, but saddler was still the champ and was able to split the series, so that has to be worth mentioning. He was the top guy in his division for about a decade. Hes up there IMO, but i think he'll probably be around 2.

    Basically.

He was an unbelievable body puncher too. See the guys vying for his title going down from single bodyshots?

There's little between 2, 3 and 4 for me, so I have no real objection to this.

That was specifically what reminded me of Sonny, he had that "end you" type of one punch power too.

Fierce. He looks like one of those rare punchers who causes distress with middling shots.

One of the longest reigning Super Featherweight Champions of all time(if not the most), with wins over Saddler and Laguna(Laguna at LW). On accomplishments, that puts him over Galaxy.

He does seem to straddle eras with his run, doesn't he?

    A special, special fighter.

Based on the footage of Galaxy I saw in that highlight, I was more impressed than usual. His style doesn't seem to have made any more of an impression, such as his versatility, etc, but his power can't be denied. Still looks to me like one who'd rather walk you down and not worry about the consequences, which would be a style problem against a slicker boxer/puncher like the guys I've named. He seems to only let it go when he has an opponent hurt, otherwise, his stance is very open, and he's capable of being boxed up by the right fighter.

If you have the stomach for it (And not many do - but he did) I condone an open stance if you have Galaxy like durability and power.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you why.

Tell you what, you are some man. It's great talking to someone who's so keen to readjust position rather than dig in when they're confronted with new info.
