You know that would make for an insane fight! Although Ross wasn't totally pleased with his performance, he's taking the positives and hopes to continue climbing the ladder after a solid debut at 145lbs (and he said he came back in at 170!) http://www.yourmma.tv/fighters/inte...s-pearson-ufc-141-interview-korean-zombie.htm I'd take Ross via decision by being technically sharper on the feet.
I like Ross, but for me he was beaten comfortably the other night. Assuncao dominated the first and although Pearson landed the best shots of rounds 2 and 3, he didnt do enough for me to win either of them. Assuncao kept him at bay and picked him off with shots and landed numerous takedowns, although Pearson bounced back up fairly easily each time. The 30-27 scorecard in Pearsons favour was a ****ing joke.
Not sure I would call looking mediocre, and winning a controversial split decision a success. Russ has no chance in that fight. He's bottom of the barrel. Outside of Etim, there really isn't a whole lot of talent coming out of England.
Yeah but I honestly felt Assuncao won all 3 rounds. As I said, Pearson did land the best shots of rounds 2 and 3, but he didn't do much else.
The fight isn't actually booked, it's just one he expressed an interest it. I don't think he'd destory him though. :bart
