I was just curious how USADA is going about drug testing for the May 2 fight. Does anyone know the stipulations? Like are they testing up to the day of the fight and after? So USADA can come at any time, does that include testing in the middle of the night (I would assume they can just wondering if they ever did wake anyone up)? Do Manny and Floyd have to be tested the same amount of times? I've heard Manny has already taken 3 but no word from Floyd, I'd assume he would have at least taken 1 by now.
They can test any day, any time. They are pretty respectful of the fighter's schedule though. So they'll usually wait until after they train. Although they can test up to the day of the fight, as long as there no irregularities in the test results, blood probably won't be drawn within a week or two up to the fight. Mayweather has been tested at least twice already. Both fighters will be tested the same amount of times.
I was curious about this as well, for example, you could take a testosterone sublingual before bed at night to aid in recovery protein synthesis, and all the benefits, it has 5/6 hour half life, and as long as you had an epi testosterone elevated as well, if you were tested with a cri test in the morning you'd pass, as there is no way to detect synthetic test without the cir test. Little things I wonder how both camps S&C chem gurus pass those tests, which 2 guys in late 30s fighting for 140 and 180 million respectively, I think are well versed in.
Go watch the 24/7 for Mayeather/Mosley. Mosely was complaining about having to take a urine test on the day of the weigh in. They're going to have to take urine tests all the way up to the fight. They probably won't be blood test within a week or two of the fight.
Word on the street was Lucas Matthysse was tested seven times in a week leading up to the Danny Garcia fight. They tried to weaken him. Garcia was probably tested once if at all during that period and they probably binned it straight after doing it too just to make sure he couldn't show up dirty. :deal
