Any thoughts on this puncher from Argentina? He was briefly WBC Super Bantamweight Champion when he stopped Paul Banke in 1990 but would lose it the following fight to Kiyoshi Hatanaka. Also upset Jesse Benavides via third round stoppage. Despite being a dangerous puncher he didn't seem to have the best chin nor durability which has led to 3 losses by stoppage out of 4.

Would have been interesting to have seen him against Daniel Zaragoza who didn't have the power to stop Decima.

I have 3 distinct thoughts regarding Decima.

First, he has an awesome last name. Very fitting for such a brutal puncher. Second, the Banke he beat looked super flat. And third, he was super fun to watch, especially his fight with Hatanaka.

Nice to see him get mentioned.

Decima's style definitely fit his name where he 'decimated' his opponents with brute power. He looked very sharp against Banke, although I think Banke's back to back wars with Zaragoza and Ki Joon Lee played a factor in looking flat. Not sure why he thought it was a good idea to fight a puncher like Decima in less than 3 months after his bruising fight in South Korea.

Fun fighter to watch indeed, especially his fights with Hatanaka and Zavala. I do wish there was available footage of his bout with Louie Espinoza.

He was beating up Espinoza until he got caught and finished.
He surprised Benavides who was an outstanding pro.
He was one of those sneaky fast boxers meaning he didn't look like he was quick looking at him but inside the ring he was very quick and had power.
