interesting I didn't know Leonard was the one before him

It'll be hard for Pedro to get a fairshake if Cotto(e) loses badly. You can have the a good strategy, but nothing will come out of it if your fighter can't execute and make the plan manifest.

He's not a bullshitter, I can tell you that. I've seen him, Cotto and alot of the team members at the nearby gym that I go to. The gym where he trains Cotto at is right down the long street but they go to my gym for warm-ups/light work-outs, sometimes at really early in the morning. I had the chance to speak with him a number of times and I remember when asking "It's going to be a hard fight isn't it?", he didn't really mince words and just said "Yeah, it's going to be very hard...for the other guy."

No complaints thus far. He has added much dimension and intensity to Miguel, and how far his tactics are able to carry Cotto and other fighters remains to be seen. Regardless, he's already proven his mettle with his accomplishments in the sport prior to entering the pro game.

The Americans won 5 gold medals that year. The other two to defeat Cubans were Leo Randolph and Leon Spinks.

I agree. But it still amazes me that so many people that profess to know boxing seem to think Pedro Diaz has something to prove. Hah! The man is already a living legend.

Pedro Diaz is the Real Scientist in the so-called "Sweet Science". He is the real deal and has the resume to prove it.

Like what I see so far, seems to be a good match for cotto and a gameplan mastermind.... but on the other hand it is a bit to early to be proclaiming this much praise lets just wait and see

What I know is if I could choose one trainer right now in the sport, it would be Pedro Diaz. I pretty much like everything about what I see from him in regards to his training, mentality, ect.

Hope he gets his hands on a good upcoming fighter and they see much success together.
