Please everyone vote. I still think fighters who are caught are tainted in terms of legacy, but it seems a lot of people feel they all do them and it is just part of the game. I would like this to be a very comprehensive vote by the fans. I am not going to nuance it as I feel this is a fairly dialectic quesion.

Cheating is cheating, it's worse in a sport like boxing were you can seriously hurt your competition.

cheating will always be cheating, I am suprised this is even a question. I only read this because I had to look up dialectic.

It's only cheating if you get caught.

if you cut corners then you end up always doing it, it becomes your mentality to cut corners in life in general.

Who wants that kind of character? how far would that kind of person go?

The whole "everybody does them" falls flat when you see a known or relatively known boxer suddenly turn into a monster after teaming up with someone like Memo. Then you know he didn't use before, or something far less effective.
Or the other way 'round, after getting caught or having to enroll at VADA get a sudden drop in quality.

Not all boxers use, like not even all cyclists or track athletes use. Some care about their health, some care about morals and some just can't afford (to mask) the good stuff and/or paying off officials.

I don't know about you Herol but there are levels of cheating.
I have cheated in exam before.
Even lying can be considered cheating.

Povetkin was cleared by VADA, but the WBC still had to protect Wilder...............

SOB Ward's back was full of ugly acne in the Kovalev rematch.....................take a look, it's in the video.............Roid Jones was busted in Indiana, I remember that.............

but why would you cheat in an exam?

if you enjoyed studying it, you'd enjoy preparing for the exam enough to pass it.

if you didnt enjoy studying it, you are making the wrong life decision in the first place sitting the subject. You are the one losing out most by simply doing something you didnt want to do, wasting your own life.

You can argue means to an end, but you are developing the wrong kind of character in yourself, especially if you did it from a young age....and thats when it becomes a pattern for the rest of your life.

I'd never cheat in an exam -I'd recognise there is something wrong in my life choices if I was feeling the need to do it - insead I'd recognise that either I was in the wrong place, or the time wasnt right and I would take time out to deal with whatever issue was holding me back. Would you want to be treated by a doctor or nurse who cheated consistently in his/hers?

You do have a point. But I believe you are in minority. Lots of people have cheated in exam before.
I'm a bit of an opportunist.
    I don't always cheat, I'm actually a brilliant student.

I once did for some coursework as a means to an end, but I realised I was cheating becos I wasnt meant to be on that course, and left pronto.

Usually cheating is a warning sign that something in your life is wrong. The wrong needs to be dealt with, not bypassed, before proceeding.

    No lol.
I have cheated and I sometimes lie. I have looser sense of moral than most.
I have taken things from work as well.
But I don't believe I'm an immoral person.

I have met medics who cheated, the obvious ones being sons of surgeons who were pushed into going to med school - and they can get away with it because of familial influence.

They are also obvious cases of people who werent mature enough to make independent life decisions, and are clearly messing up their lives with a confident grin and a pint in hand - they often end up the alkies that they begin their careers treating.
