Funny the 180 this forum has done in regards to thoughts on PED's and PED testing. I'm glad, too. I remember back when asking for extra drug testing was a sign of being a coward and scared. And back when most fans thought there was no testing needed beyond the local commissions. And how a lot of those folks said that PED's literally hindered a boxer in every way and would work against them... You'd think I'm talking about the mid-90's or something, but no, I'm talking about the massively dramatic turnaround in the masses opinion that happened in 2013. We will always be able to bump those threads. Fun times.
The answer here is "both." From Roy Jones to Shane Mosley to Erik Morales, was it ever that unacceptable?
You are welcome Ms. Galaxy. The practice of saving samples for later testing is best. I thought you were/had a gravatar of a sci-fi character, in real like a grrrl?
would you want it, is the question. This is all about individual choices, not a pattern for us to follow. Your life is a choice for you alone.
No . But it is rife in all sports and sadly it is sports dirty little secret that everybody knows about and even if they can find a test to detect it the cheaters just change their modius operandi.
I think a lot of peoples eyes have been opened in recent years in regards to PED's, mine included. There have been a lot of drug scandals even if you don't include the Russia scandal and that's made it clear that doping was a bigger issue that people generally thought of before. Plenty of fighters have been caught doping since the Mayweather/Pac negotiations brought the issue to prominence. Gamboa, Bute, Ortiz, Fury, Povekin and even Mayweather has been tarnished with the IV scandal. That has clearly changed opinions on the issue.
Only to those that some of us (the minority) tried to tell you about years and years before. The crowd that was significantly behind likely always will be. It comes down to logic and an understanding of how the world works. Perhaps some insider info can nudge you, but there is no excuse for someone to have been in the dark until 2012. No excuse at all. You still are, then.
No, cheating is cheating. Maybe loads do it without getting caught but every time they are caught they should rightly he punished with overturned results, removal of rankings and suspensions.
Frankly speaking, I'm shocked that a majority of the forum thinks that PEDs are now acceptable... Well, at least it's getting closer -- I guess just a week ago it were like 60%.
