Info: Record: 37-1-1 (16) (1996) World titles: Lightweight*, Junior welterweight, Welterweight, Junior Middleweight Quality of competition: 8 Why He`s Here: Career loses? With 'Sweet Pea' it`s tough finding rounds he`s lost (1996) What he could have done to better his ranking: He can still do it: Beat Trinidad and/or Terry Norris. Pernell lost to Trinidad but does anyone feel he had a better chance against Norris a year earlier?
Not gotten addicted to Cocaine in the mid 90s. Pea wasn't the same fighter he had been probably after beating Chavez.
One of the few people that I could see beating a primed Duran at LW. If he got the decision versus Chavez, then I think his p4p stock would be even higher. Beating a Trinidad or Norris when hooked on pepsi max and above his best weight, with his lack of devastating power would added even further to his legend status.
Hey mate - been busy, kids, life, have lurked a bit. Woke up and just felt to post again yesterday so here I am.
I prodded back around maybe a couple of years ago. Seldom get into lengthy drawn out debates and the like but throw quite a bit of shorter stuff out there.
Thaks Drew - hope all is well? I'm really getting back into my boxing again so I should be around for a while.
I think Stoney is too busy writing books and great ones from all accounts. Three sp far i believe. He posts once or twice a year maybe lol https://www.amazon.com/s?url=search...ings+toledo,stripbooks,410&crid=3HUXYKARVGVOT
