    What he could have done to better his ranking: He can still do it: Beat Trinidad and/or Terry Norris. Pernell lost to Trinidad but does anyone feel he had a better chance against Norris a year earlier?

    Not gotten addicted to Cocaine in the mid 90s. Pea wasn't the same fighter he had been probably after beating Chavez.

    One of the few people that I could see beating a primed Duran at LW.

    If he got the decision versus Chavez, then I think his p4p stock would be even higher.

    Beating a Trinidad or Norris when hooked on pepsi max and above his best weight, with his lack of devastating power would added even further to his legend status.

    I think the ranking is about right. I'd say Whitaker is a top 30 all-time great but not top 20.

    I prodded back around maybe a couple of years ago. Seldom get into lengthy drawn out debates and the like but throw quite a bit of shorter stuff out there.
