    He was a decent sized MW when he was a MW , too thick in muscle mass though and didn't have the strength for the weight , i didn't think it possible for him to make 170 if I'm being completely honest , but physically he looks like a WW now which did surprise me , still an odd choice for Penn though

    No. He was fighting in Japan so he wasn't undersized because his opponents were also not cutting. Akiyama is exactly the right size to be mid-size welterweight i.e. Shields clearly looked the bigger man when they fought.

    And I want the fight because I think it'd be awesome. No more reason than that. Penn should be fighting at 155Ibs but I could see Akiyama-Penn being all sorts of fun.
