I don't know how to attach a photo anymore apparently. But this was posted to his instagram 4 days ago.

As a Penn fan, this photo is good news! :deal

As I said, he looked awful. He looked awful in the Diaz fight too. He was crying during his walkout to the Diaz fight actually.

But if he is in deed training with the likes of Aldo and Barao, if he's already that fit and in shape, maybe he is going to take this fight seriously and has found some of that fire back. Who knows. That is just the slimmest I've seen him in a long damn time. I remember what happened last time he finished a coaching stint on the Ultimate Fighter. He went on a friggin tear and destroyed people. :deal

Penn has been over the hill for a long time. His lack of dedication to train properly all these years did him in long ago

The comparison to Penn (Diaz, MaCdonald) cannot be the same as Penn Edgar 3

The guy will be fighting 25 lbs lighter, he's going to be a different beast. The concern is this, can he actually make 145 safely and still have any sort of an engine, at 155 during his reign as LW champion he was enormous for the weight and even then his gas tank wasn't that great, good enough for him, because he has an elite skill set, but it was questionable.

His BJJ career at the very highest level was 152 (someone may correct me but I think I'm right) BJ Penn does not look like a man who can safely make 145, and another huge factor, he's fighting Frankie Edgar, a cardio freak / animal.

I fear the worst for BJ no matter what his preparation, he's absolutely mad for agreeing to 145, he could have easily come back at 55 and fought literally anybody in the top 20 and the fight would have sold. Its madness, but I suppose thats why we love BJ Penn.
