Stevenson is decent but his never mixed in the same class as Penn.He gets submitted inside of 2 rounds.
The enquiry is his right by default. Its very rare that fighters get vindicated from them.Either way Sherk is probably on a years ban.
Penn might actually TKO him. Hughes and GSP had an extremely difficult time getting Penn to the mat, Stevenson will too. Penn is superior on the ground, but he is FAR superior on his feet and might just choose to outstrike him and try and knock him out standing. Either way, Penn will be the new Champ.
Penn by whatever he wants and how long he wants it to go on...depends how much trash Big Daddy spews. More trash more pain
I can't believe some of guys are totally writing off Stevenson! Has Diaz-Gomi told you nothing? Has Crocop-Gonzaga told you nothing? Has GSP-Serra told you nothing? Has Griffin-Shogun told you nothing? C'mon guys, MMA ain't predictable like that, anything can and does happen. Penn is rightfully the favorite but Stevenson has a chance.
Of course he has a chance his fighting him! BUT the bottom line is the gulf in class between Penn and Daddy is huge.Daddy has NEVER mixed in the same class as Penn.Penns BJJ is the best in the world,he has a great chin and excellent hands. His also beaten some of the best fighters in the world at much heavier weight classes than his natural weight and is one of the best fighters in the world.Joe is not.The jury rests.
Jens Pulver beat BJ in the lighweight division and Carl Uno got a draw with BJ, BJ isn't some superhuman fighter at 155lb, he can be beaten!
As good as BJ is I think he is overrated a little bit, people have been talking like he is unbeatable, but he has had a lot of tough fights in his career, And Joe is no gimmee.
Yeah and Uno also got beat in under 10 seconds in there first bout and was left foaming like an infantile ****** against the cage in record time. The Jens Pulver that beat BJ was when BJ was a rookie.Look what he did to him in the rematch.Pulver is nice but Daddy is no Pulver.
Meh. People do overrate Penn but I haven't seen JS beat anyone really good other than Edwards. This isn't really that interesting a fight IMO. I'd much rather seen Sherk/Penn though, so I hope he wins.
