Most of the people who hate have never been in a ring or just DKSAB in general.. Lots of fighters lose and come back.. And yes from ugly KO's too.. Many of the greats go through it.,. Its called fighting.. Not everyone is undefeated forever.. he will be back and if not good luck to him. Hes had a good career and is a really good fighter.. Haters are always gonna be there

There is one thing here that the newbies just don't get; he's old!

35 years is about what you get in boxing (or 15 years as a pro, whichever comes first). The skills generally go into decline at 33. A great fighter can prolong it to about 37. There are a few outliers like Paq, Stevenson and of course Hopkins and Archie Moore was in a class by themselves, but as a general rule of thumb it is 35.

That does not mean that his drinking and lack of training did not exacerbate his decline, but he was ripe for the taking. Alvarez is 34 but he seems a solid, devoted pro, as opposed to his adversary, no matter, you can measure his title reign with a calendar. I don't think he'll make it long.

Kovey always had a couple of flaws, like glass ribs and lack of a plan B., and he was a nine-round fighter, who aged into a 6 round fighter, but he was definitely good in his prime. Nobody else has done that to Pascal.

Funny thing is, If I wanted to, he could squeeze another good year or two out of the old body, If I were him I would eat a whole factory of humble pie and beg Jackson to take me back, he looked best with him, then target all of the other guys in the LWHT division around my age, Stevenson, Jack, Beterbeiev and Alvarez again. I don't think he'd win any of those, except the rematch, but he'd be in the ballpark , and Stevenson is 40 years old. Even now, if he got serious I think he'd be 50/50 with Browne, and about 30/70 with Gvozdyk (in the Ukranian's favor).

If the guy could leay off the booze for a year, who knows, 3-4 more big money fights.

There is no average. Every single fighter is different and unique in how they age, and it varies immensely between weight classes. Guys have peaked at 17 like Wilfred Benitez, where as fighters like Archie Moore, George Foreman and Bernard Hopkin's have fought until they were nearly fully 50 years old. Lmao you lost me at there is no average. First of all Hopkins peaked well before he was 35 dumbass. He looked his best in the mid and late 90s.

A fighter is far more likely to be prime at 30 years old instead of 20 or 40.
