Wouldnt put him past him, he hardly has a history of mental stability. Would probably start singing for no reason again
That’s a perfectly reasonable perspective for you to have. But it’s also perfectly reasonable for people to criticize a guy acting like a complete tool after the fight if they wish. It’s fair criticism. AJ has been praised to the skies and he’s also been criticized over the course of his career. Both are valid. Same goes for Fury (like he hasn’t been criticized for his actions outside the ring lol) and Wilder (who took, rightfully, a lot of grief for his excuses after the second Fury fight and for not shaking Fury’s hand after the third). So like you said, who cares?
I guess my point is, why people make more out of post fight antics than pre-fight antics. In fact, fighters are far more disrespectful pre-fight than post fight, but fans don't seem to care as much. To me it's all the same, I don't put much care in either. I just want to see good fights. That's why we watch the sport after all.
I think you answered your own question above: they run their mouths and huff and puff before fights to sell the fight to the public. It’s the reason Conor MacGregory is a top ticket-seller, because he’s a natural smack-talker and that generates interest. The reason hardcore boxing fans overlook that is they understand it’s just promotion and only pay attention when Tyson bites Lennox in the leg like an unruly mutt or something. It’s the same reason no one expects the food in a restaurant advertisement to arrive on their plate looking as appetizing as it does in the commercial — as long as it taste’s good they’re happy.
Totally out of proportion, disrespectful and out of order. Who are you to criticize him in any way? You made a grown man cry You should all feel very bad, bullying the TWO TIME champ gold medallist.
AJ "not being able to throw combo's like Marciano" and "not being a 12 round fighter" means boxing as a sport should make adjustments to accommodate him. 10 round fights should be the standard going forward. To hell with Championship rounds and this macho rubbish. It's not fair that a 120 pound man like Inoue can come up to 200 pounds and fight heavyweights with a 15 round gas tank and 1000 punch output. How can heavyweights compete with that?
Maybe Tyson 'Doctor Phil' Fury could provide some words of wisdom? "I would get very, very low at times and start thinking these crazy thoughts. I bought a brand new Ferrari convertible in the summer of 2016. This content is protected "
Usyk went into that bout knowing full well he could get sparked with 1 punch if he made 1 mistake and the whole of Ukraine would feel it. That's pressure.
