People are fooled by Maidana's last performance

I thought he didn't belong at the weight either after the Alexander fight, but he says he did switch up his conditioning since training under Robert, and his power was clearly there with the way he stopped Karass.

Well Maidana is new to the WW division and I don't think many people praised him... The general was just suprised that Maidana was able to KO the sturdy Soto karass..

Maybe people held Mike Jones to a higher standard?? Ever think of that.. Because everyone knows Maidana is an exciting fighter but a limited one.

maidana always knew how to jab, if he didn't how was he competetive vs khan and kotelnik, he just used it more vs karras, he only improved on his defence, but has lost a step or 2, people forget the khan fight was a war, khan did alot of damage on him.

 

Exactly! The way I see it, this guy was largely unknown and trained in Argentina. I'm sure he didn't get the advantages in training and nutrition as his US counter-parts.

The other poster needs to cut him some slack, since Maidana is trying to improve and provide us the fans entertaining fights.
